Did you try to trim your throttle down into the negative?
That did it for my JR radio

Hey guys I have the DX3 and leave the receiver ant just sticking out of the radio box and my range is I am guesing over 300ft before it loses contact, but all I have to do is point the xmtr towards the boat and it will reconnect to where I can bring it closer.

I have often wondered about lengthening the ant, is this ok to do or a no no? If it works better to have a lengthened ant I will probably do that but for now it works great and is very nice to not have to worry about freq interference.

The manufacturer does not recommend modifying the Ant. in anyway....I think the new receivers don't even have an antenna....

I tried the first gen Spektrum in my boat ( M11 ) and it stopped working the second I placed my boat in the water. I did a check on land and I ran out of space. I put the boat back in the water and ... nothing , it doesn't work.

Sold the RX and TX on ebay and bought myself the Spektrum PRO module and receiver ( again on Ebay :-) and ... voila , problem solved and works like a champ !

SPEKTRUM PRO RULES !! yeah.
