Electric rigger help please.
I normally race gas outriggers but once in a while I'd like to practice racing around buoys at a local pond that only allows electric boats.
I have a bunch of 6-cell 3300 nimh packs lying around and plan to buy a Fuller or Blizzard type rigger in which I could utilize these battery packs one at a time. Maybe someone has a few too many boats lying around and would like to unload one to thin the fleet? Anyway I want to buy something that'll sharpen up my driving skills a bit after work each day for an hour or two.
I was thinking I might be able to buy an Aquacraft Super Vee and just put all the drive gear & hardware on the rigger. Is this a bad idea? Will the Super Vee motor and ESC work well with one battery pack? Does anyone have a better idea as to what would be better setup for my application?
Thanks in advance for anyone's advice.
Artie.

the supervee esc has two plugs for the batts, so its two 6 cell packs or nothing...besides, it wouldnt turn enough rpm with only a single 6 cell...

RE: Electric rigger help please.
I just found that out.
Thanks!
I was told to go with a Lehner 5600 or Fiego 6. Don't know what that is but it sounds interesting.....

the renegade rigger is a good cheap kit. mine's on the way now. looking forward to putting it together. you can pick up a lot of the electronic hardware off ebay really cheap too. it is only about 14 inches long though.

Artie, I have a Blizzard rigger sitting here. THe hull is build but needs finishing. I love the renegade rigger but its just too small for my taste.

I can relate! The pond I go to has IOM 1 meter sailboats all over it so you know it is windy and choppy! [X(]
Going to need the next size up.
But on a small calm pond, those little Renegades are the BOMB!
When I was at my pond last weekend there were a bunch of deep-v P1 boats getting air! LOL!!!
Nice rigger Diegoboy! little too small for me though I believe. I'll video my P1 next weekend so you guys can see the size of the pond.
