wish there were some inside shots...and the outdrive and u-joint will probably have the same problems as were in the regular blackjack nitro....most of the action shots im seeing are acceleration or turning pics....

Come on, somebody get one!!! I want to see how it goes.
I just dumped all my money in a Feigao Replacement motor for my SV27, and an EP1 outboard that I am going to combine with my existing EP1 outboard to do a dual outboard conversion on this Nitro Hammer hull I have sitting around. I also just bought the Tekin Marine 432M esc for the project. It is rated at 300amps. Thread coming to a theater near you

I would guess around 2 to 4 mph slower than the vee stock.

I saw a guy at the pond a few weeks back that had put a SV27 motor & ESC into a nitro BJ26, I guess this negates the need to do that. Nice too, since I was planning to do that myself.

It looks pretty good. Is that a metal water jacket around the motor?

Also, the programmable ESC with Lipo cutoff is a nice touch.

Is that radio any good? Or will it need to be thown to the ground and jumped on like the radio that comes with the SV?

That steerable drive would be the first to go, replaced with a decent strut and rudder. Other than that, it looks like the SV27 could have some competition on it's hands (in the marketplace at least).

what would be the advantage of having a strut and rudder set up over a steerable drive set up because i like steerable drive it handles sharp?

I had that radio in another boat and it worked great with no glitches.
The water jacket looks pretty nice. Definitely better than the one in the SV. I can't believe they put that sorry Strudder (steerable outdrive) in it.

its not that a steerable outdrive in general is bad...its their steerable outdrive an u-joint....ill just put it plain and simple....its crap...

it depends on where the receiver is in the boat and how much electrical noise interferes with it....i has a boat using the same radio (high wind) that i couldnt go out 20 feet before it started glitching....but when i put it in another boat, i can go 2/3 the way down my lake (wich it like 2 football feilds long) without any problems...it also becuase my motor had caps on it and i wrapped the Rx in tin foil (it works...surprisingly)

Strudders have inherent problems. Vibration, which leads to early wear and tear, and the fact that you can't safely go brushless with them. The U-joint is part of the biggest problem with strudders.

Any boat with crappy electronics can cause glitches. You can put a decent FM radio in a boat with crappy electronics and it could glitch. Cheap electronics are more apt to cause radio interference.

It's interesting how companies have to make a come back when other companies release new updated products. Proboat still continues to disappoint me with the lack of a separate rudder and strut.

Boat looks great, power system looks great now I'm ready for video!

Competition is good.

Hey wheel, why the comment that it will be slower then the "vee"? Weight? Power. Cat should be a pretty efficient hull even though the tunnel is really deep on the BJ's. (I assume you mean the SV27 right?)
