two batteries
what does everyone use to charge two batteries for a boat that uses two
i have a novak ionic and heard that it would take about 45 min. to charge
one 4200 battery that means an hour and a half wait time for two
even if you had 4 batteries that still a long wait time in between runs
comments would be great, good or bad
thanx

RE: two batteries
I use a triton2 and charge in series. charge as if they are one battery (@ 14.4V) and 4200mah (capacity of one pack). When I'm @ the pond, I charge @ 5 amps, usually takes about 10-30 min depending on how drained the batteries are.
I get home and do a discharge/charge cycle at 1 amp(discharge/.5 amp charge). Then I peak at 5 amps before my first run, wash, rinse, repeat.
you could charge in parallel too, but you'd charge @ 7.4V and double the capacity, so 8400mah. I haven't really done that, so I can't tell you how long that'll take.

RE: two batteries
Hyperion 1210I... nasty charger. I started with an ICE and could only do 1 pack at a time, forget that garbage.
SMC says you can charge IB4200s at 6A, I have done 5A and it takes 50min to do 24 cells or 4 packs.[sm=biggrin.gif]
