Default Twin rudders on a Cat

I am in the process of fabricating a twin rudder rig behind a single strut on my cat.
Attached is a sketch of the basic layout.
What I need to know is the relationship between the trailing edge of the prop and the leading edge of the rudder. In short can the rudders be beside the prop or do they have to be aft or is somewhere in between the go.
Answers and reasons please.
