These are my first mods i increased radio range speed and steering a bit and bought a second set of batteries now i think i will put a novak system in it but she's fast enough for me.

She's fast enough but you'r going to put a novak in? Is there a novak system that is low enough KV for a boat that size? I was going to put my mamba system in my SV but everyone told me it was to hot of a motor at 5700kv. I'd go with a Cuda, Hydra, or any good 70+ amp boat or water cooled esc and a good feigao, or amo around 3000kv. This will bive you more torque and stay cooler then you can allways prop up. I'm a noob though so don't take my word for it.

i'm gonna use this it's only 2,700 Kv. which is fine for this boat even with my prop, though i will have to shave it down a bit. it's their rock crawler setup it even has reverse (although hard to use with an outdrive) i like it!

My current setup is the ammo 36-50-2300, hydra 120, and converted to strut and offset rudder. Batteries are trinity 4200 6 cells. I run a x642 prop and have a best topspeed so far of 51.9.

pretty much evertime I go out, I have to retrieve it. I keep playing with it to see what I can get out of it. If I move the batteries up just a bit, the boat rides much flatter.

So is it really carbon fiber or is it a sticker?

I doubt there is anything wrong with your GPS. What kind is it? Try a X642 prop that has been detounged. I saw 45.0 with my stock motor and that prop. But I had the upgraded hardware.

Anyone tried the idea w/a feigao motor? Cuz here's a conversion with a 7XL(scroll down):

I happen to have a 7XL so maybe I'll try this combo with a hydra 120, once I get the hydra repaired[sm=crying.gif].

There are no reviews for this thing anywhere not even customer reviews i guess most people just picked it up at their LHS.

Well... I SUPPORT ALL LHS'S UNLESS THEY ARE CRAPPY TO THEIR CUSTOMERS OR OVERCHARGE!

Update!!!

revamped my cooling system so water hits my motor first.

it has a new cool neon green see-thru piece of tubing coming out the back and i silicon sealed where it goes in for watery-tightness!
(it's actually spare fuel line for my weed wacker but i'm a scavenger and it fit the build )
i almost ordered a bulkhead fitting from ose but decided to find a simpler solution.

You may want to cool the ESC first. From what I understand that will be more important since it handles the current loads.

yes but my motor was overheating so i replaced the bearings in it made sure the shaft was not rubbing and it still ran a lot hotter than my esc so i reconfigured it my esc is always the same temperature it is when i put it in and when it comes out never gets hot to the touch at all actually runs cooler with my new setup when water was hitting it first it was far hotter. yah i can't explain it weird tho right?
