Default Mini Cat Hydro Help

I just bought a used carbon fiber Mini Cat Racing Hydro. It has the upgraded 3800kv motor and 40A ESC. I am using the 32mm prop and a TP 2070mah 3S lipo.

I need help with the setup. The boat cavitates alot and does not like to turn. I have placed the battery according to the instructions with the CG around the motor mount and have tried adjusting the batteries forward and backward from there but I can't seem to dial it in.

Can anyone give me some tips?

try adding more weight to the boat until it sits lower in the water.

I'd say try a different prop.

what that sounds like to me, is that the prop isn't getting enough water. (i.e. it sits too high up) If the outdrive is adjustable, then instead of trying to add weight or buying a new prop, you could just lower it.

Where did you find your used boat?

You get it running good?

I really leaning toward a minicatracing boat.

Rigger or hydro?
