That's what forums are about, alot of boats out there I hate the look of.
I thought a Hydro was this design?

Turn fin can be moved to different angles.
Strut is not adjustable, never had to change angles with a strut on my boats before.
Price is very very good........
It is ARTF and have seen run, it very fast.
No links to seller yet.

this is what i think of it. would you rather me Lie and say i loved it and go buy 4 of them? Brod?

Susuki. That is a hydro. So is the green one you have. because it has steps it has multipul wetted surfaces . There for it is a hydro
That boat can run against "tradition" hydros, rigger, and anything with multipul wetted surfaces. along with cat boats and canards
But it can not run with monos in a race.

it would still be good to have a adjustable strut regardless

you paid $340.59 US for that or $370 AU? right

BTW what kinda of speedo are you using for it ?
I think there specs are a bit wrong. 1500 watt motor ? if on a 7 cell battery at 1500 watts thats about 178 amps[sm=drowning.gif]

No mate I in no way did I not like what you said about the boat, I am very open to opinions.
You won’t upset me in hurry by saying you don’t like the boat.

That's what I meant by: “That's what forums are aboutâ€

Thanks for the info on the hull design too.

Drodjack, let it go in one ear and out the other, cool breeze. Now if the person likes the boat, more power to him, he bought and no one else. Whether it be a mono or hydro, who cares, nice.

Go out there and have a good time, thats what its all about. I doubt youll be racing so taylor, i think he could care less if its got and adjustable strut(even tho it is nice to have) or what type of boat it is. Its just for fun.

BTW, suzuki, Why dont you ever change the strut angle? Without doing so youll never get the boat tuned in right.

To tell the truth I don't know what I am doing there on turning with changing strut angle.
Note sure what to watch for to gauge which way to move strut.

well then it is just as good to have non adjustable.

BTW in the video you saw ( i think) it fliped a couple times correct ?
well that is because of the turn fin. If you make it 90 Deg with the V of the hull you will not have that problem.
Just letting you know. In case you wondered

Retaobcr, dosnt bother me in the slightest.
Its perhaps the younger element on these forums that make the most rudest comments.
Tayor,i suppose if everyone agreed on everything the world would be a very boring place.
Live and let live.

TS could have been truthfull with a litte more tact but ....well he's out of tact. I think he traded what little he had for a 300 amp esc. I've got a SV27 and ever since the first post on the supertune thread any time anyone suggests adjusting the strut it's quicky cut down. Leave it neutral! This is a boat that's been fighting for stability since the beginning and we are still told to stay away from the stut. I think it kind of suggests that there's another way to get there.

Cool looking boat man. I don't care what you call it.

How is the leading edge of the rudder aligned in relation to the drive dog...hard to tell, but from the pics it looks like the rudder bracket could be a bit longer...or the strut a bit shorter?

pretty neat little boat. I bet it'll be a bunch o' fun!

Looks like a lot of fun. Could be tuned to be a bit more stable (too bad the strut isn't adjustable). Looks like some tabs could smooth it out. But with the flood chamber you may not care. Seems like as it is you can't use all the power it has. Sounds really good! Looks like a blast. It does appear to run more like a hydro than a v. Seems like the driver learns alot about how to handle it from one end of the video to the other.

its unstable because they do not know how to angle the turn fin correctly.
stupid if you ask me. they can build a boat but they cant make it run right

just flip it 90 deg to the V and your laffin

Shaw is correct, the turn fin is not 90 degrees to the bottom of transom and should be angled out some more. The boat is great but 3800kv is too much rpm as it spins out and unstable and with less rpm would be smoother in every respect. The possibility of one size down on the prop might be better or even one with less pitch, never know till you try. Now it is fast and has room inside to work. Have fun!
