Here's a VERYGOOD Infrared Temp Gun
I have owned this exact same model for over 5 years without failure and it still has original battery. Enjoy!

maybe it hasnt failed and it may possibly still have the same battery in it.
but have you ever even considered testing its accuracy?

This temp gun does not project the red beam light, but just fooling around I have taken readings as far as 16 inches away.
