I have owned this exact same model for over 5 years without failure and it still has original battery. Enjoy!

Yea I test the temperature of my beer sometimes. I would say it is very accurate.

I paid close to $50.00 for this exact same Radioshack temp gun five years ago. Price has really fell.

This temp gun does not project the red beam light, but just fooling around I have taken readings as far as 16 inches away.

Even if it was off by a degree or two, you can be pretty sure it will be consistently off by the same margin
