I just sand all the decals off myself before I paint.... it doesn't look to bad leaving it "raw" once sanded.

Intersting, i guess if you used fine sand paper, you wouldn't get very noticable scores.

Anyother chemical solutions?

I'll try nail polish remover tommrow. Time to hit the sack for me...... z z z z

I don't advise using nail polish remover. Not if it's acetone based.

It attacks the surface of the plastic - and leaves a gooey mess. (I've been thinking about painting it anyway...)

Yeah its a tuff call as similar says, most all those strong chemicals can probably melt your boat along with the paint in most cases. Sanding at least you know exactly the outcome, no surprises.

I just use scotch Brite all over it removes the decals and roughens up the plastic nicely,
Scotch Brite is the scourer side of your dish sponge

I used a car paint restorer called T-Cut to remove the decals - takes a bit of rubbing but gives a very smooth finish

Thanks guys, I'll figure something out.

Why don't people run trim tabs on this boat?

Also 2000 wet/dry sandpaper with water leaves a smooth surface and leaves shiny.-Trim tabs are or can be used on the high powered jetskis to keep from flipping backwards.-88888888 ride pads-go to rc universe in the real long thread on jetboats where dragon fire made skid pads, so nozzle won't get bents from hitting rocks and etc. Now if memory serves me right, it should be in the first 50 pages. This was a couplers years ago.

I think AUM is showing how to turn down the prop. Yes, you want to use a drive dog, and wouldn't need anything on the other side of the shaft as it would go into the stator. It looks like it's thicker (front to back) than a stock impeller - maybe that's the reason for the cool looking aluminum impeller housing.

There has always been a market for replacement (plastic or metal) impellers for this boat. There were some coming out of Tailand last year made of aluminum and they were poorly made. If there was better quality control, and they were balanced, they would sell big time. Maybe different pitches available too! I know I would buy some, for sure.

thanks. I think so with you.
In thailand tera into Jetboat very popular and many user.
I'm sale upgrade racing kit over 100 set and starter kit over 60 set.

I'd purchase a whole set if it came with the ride plate, cooling plate, 3mm shaft, coupler, and the aluminum extension for the drive..i'd be willing to pay pretty handily for it also and have two other friends who would as well

Oh cool! I'll try it.

I was looking through that thread you have on thairc.com, and i really liked the kit you had and so did another guy here. Do you think you could list off what it includes and how much it costs for us?

Is there an option to just buy the ride plate?

Thank you

I gutted my boats but now I have to wait for the rest of the parts to come in. I primed them and painted. Looks like I have a new crew driving the boat.

I was surprized they didn't have GSP. We looked but they didn't have him. My son boat will have Frank Mir and Brock. Once I finish the paint job I will post.

I love seeing the different heads people are using. I picked up a boat that has a Napoleon dynamite head... so funny.
