any recommendations?

speeds comparable to gas powered boat?

There are other groups that do this, but this is the only one I know.

As for cheaper ones the supervee 27 is a good size.

money is an object. it will be diff to order that boat from germany.

i'll look at the supervee 27 you suggested.

lol, yeah the prices there are close to US $2000.

I forgot to mention that some groups like Fine Design or aeromarine can build a boat for you(yes i've heard that aeromarine can do that stuff w/brushless) if you specify the parts(and pay depending on what parts).

I don't know too much about it but I know a friend who had his brushless 50mph cat put together at fine design.
Cost-wise I have no idea.
