RE: SV 27 VS. FASTECH HELP
I have seen the SV and the Fastech run.
If it were me I would buy the SV.
Much more support and gobs of up grades and tons of info.
The Fastech is a good boat if you are not able to get onto super smooth water where the SV shines the best.
The Fastech will take the rougher waters much better then the SV but the SV will smoke the Fastech out of the box stock.
If you plan on running the SV on chop have a rescue boat handy and a life vest cause you will be going to get it after it flips.
And trust me it will flip.

I have both SV27 and The UL-1..
The UL-1 not only will out run the SV in the straights but through the corners as well..
My UL-1 is just a tad under 50mph and it is nuts going through the corners, handles awesome!
I do like my SV27 but it is hard to keep prop side down at full throtle compaired to the UL-1
The SV27 is a very fun boat, I do like it alot, and glad I picked it up two weeks ago..
I am considering selling my SV27 to use for a 43" Cat.

RE: SV 27 VS. FASTECH HELP
I've had no issues with my UL-1..
I tighned up the water jaket on the motor and no leaks at all.. I does take two packs (14.8v)
here is a clip of my UL-1 using a S220 prop, strut at 1", and 5200mah 30/40c packs..

RE: SV 27 VS. FASTECH HELP
The batteies are Max Force 5200mah 30/40c 7.4v
I chose the S220 because it was inbetween sizes of what I read that people were using.. and Stainless looks cool
I agree, I need a bigger area to run, I want to see 50+ out of this boat.. Maybe today is the day
