First time cruise
I just drove my supervee 27 for the first time today. Man, is that thing fast. I didn't have enough room to go full throttle. I managed to flip it because I gave it too much throttle. Good thing I taped it up. It was so much fun, really good time.
I noticed a leak though. In the picture I posted right where the arrow is and also in the circle. It's either on of those or both. Whats the best way to seal it up?
Also is there a better way to seal if the canopy beside the tape. Pulling the tape on and off is pretty annoying. Perhaps get a small tubing and make a slit in it and put the canopy in the groove in the tubing. I tried to do a good drawing to show what I mean.
Thanks.

Comon advice: Take everything out of the boat but the wood. Waterproof the wood, some use clear epoxy, some use urathane, it's your prefrence. If you don't the wood will swell and discolor. Remove all the hardware. Put silicone in all the holes and than re-assemble. Some have tried similar seals to what you are suggesting but many people I consider pretty clever have stayed with the tape. I also relocated the antenna to the transom and filled the holes for both the antenna and the cowel lock with silicone. No need for a lock when it's taped. Lock is a common source of leaking. As far as the strut being you leak point it usually doesn't is you re-grease it everytime you go to the water.

Looks like I got a lot to do. I have a question. How do you remove the cable, is there a right what to do it? I looked at the manual but its not descriptive. I got to the point where you use two wrenches to twist those nuts by the motor. Then what do you do?

You need to loosen the collet. Takes two wrenches, both different sizes. like a 10 and a 12 I think. loosen it up and it'll pull right out the back of the boat.

For Sealing the hatches...I was getting a little annoyed putting tape around, to seal it.
So i got some Door-Weather Strips and put it on the hull so it would have a Lip, to stop water.

RE: First time cruise
Hello. I just bought it a week ago. I was going to get the Super Vee Brushless, but i wanted to
go LiPo and not spend to much $$$. So the guys at the hobby shop recommended the Arpro, as
it only runs on one LiPo.
This is my first "Hobby grade" Boat, so i wasn't to sure what to expect, but so far im very happy
with the build quality, I have found no defects and the only thing im disappointed with is the stock
Plastic Props...So far ive snaped two and am on my third waiting for the hobby shop to sharpen
and balance some mettle props.

I bought this boat from my local hobby shop.
But i have seen them online and on eBay...
Im going to make a new Lid for it, becuase im not a big fan of the "Space ship" bubble
and the little guy in it...Makes the boat look "out of scale"
So im going to make a new one that looks like the real Arpro -

I like the canopy. Looks like the boat is running really wet.

and the battery was right at the back of the boat, but even still, when going full throttle, the boat would dig it's nose in.
So ive taken the trim tabs off, and moved the battery around. This has made a Huge difference going full Throttle, but
when going slow the boat doesn't plan very well...But, that doesn't matter, because 90% of the time the boats going
full throttle...
I'm just waiting for my Octra Prop to get Sharpened and Balanced, as ive already snapped 2 plastic props...
