BL Shockwave 55?
Anyone done this already? I've got a Shockwave 55 that has never been run and I'd like to convert. There are just so few places where I can run it on gas which I should have thoughtabout before buying it. Any thoughts on what I could use as an ESC and motor?

you live in vancouver and theres nowhere to run it? is there noise bylaws in your area preventing the use ?you'd be better off selling it b4 sticking more money into an already expensive boat and grab something already rtr.

Well, technically Icould run it in the salt, but I really prefer to not do that given all the corrosion that will occur. I just figure that I have a lot of electric stuff from my cars and perhaps I could convert it without spending a fortune. Would a Novak HV 6.5 or 7.5 motor be enough? I do have a spare of each lying around.

Hi Nitroade,
Converting such a big hull will set you back (at least) the (new) price of this boat...
Most likely, like bigcam406 suggested, a new (smaller) electric boat will be cheaper.
Regards, Jan.
