Default Delta Force Sniper 23 RTR

First Impressions of my newly arrived DF Sniper RTR.

The overall length with the hardware comes in at 26". The hull itself is 23"x6.75". This is essentially a scaled down version of the big brother "the Sniper 44" with the same deep vee. The hull itself is fiberglass. The finish is nice, clear coat over paint and decals. I didn't expect anything less coming from DF. The kit that I choose was the Ghost Fire version. The hatch has a pin in the front and two magnets at the rear of the hatch. Very well though out. Opening the hatch, there is a clear plastic sub-hatch which needs to be taped down to keep water out from entering the hull. Before we get inside to the components - just to go over the running hardware. The Sniper RTR comes with 2 turn fins, 2 trim tabs, a stinger drive (non-adjustable) and a rudder with dual water pickups.
Moving inside the hull, it comes with a 2200 kv water cooled outrunner motor. And a water cooled 45A esc. The recommended power supply is 11.1V lipo (2200mah up to 2500mah). The reason for this is the battery tray is 5" x 3" wide. So if you're running 5000mahs lipo's you will need to do some wood working to make your pack fit. The prop that comes with the kit is a 30mm x 1.4 pitch in carbon. I have not run my sniper yet, but I seen that the gps speed is 22 mph out of the box stock.
Link to video - Thanks to tiqueman! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGp-i7CUaog
The Sniper RTR comes in 4 different schemes. This is a strong contender in the RTR ranks.

Its in the low 20's for speed...now where near as fast as a SV, but still, it scoots along nicely.

Yup, I bought 2 boats, one for myself and one for friend. Unfortunately he had to fixed his truck >$$$ . So what was his is now up for sale. It is 180 plus half the cost of shipping from HK. I am selling this for what I paid. Not making anything off the sale. Just need to sell it off. I got the boat at dealer costs for a one time deal only. You won't find these boats for $180 anywhere. If you want you can contact Delta force, and they will sell this to you for $300 plus shipping.

I will find them cheaper than 300 bucks
and then again I really don't want a 20mph boat

Hello, after the Beijin expo we decided to adjust our retail price to USD250 plus shipping cost as we want more people to enjoy our boat.

These are great boats and for $12 you could drop in a Typhoon 2218 3600kv motor in there and it would be very fast!

Fit and finish they are beautiful. Great for relaxing. I would have bought the one from Westbeach if I was working.

Remember the TT boat is dead slow for $400, big boat though, crappy motor. At least you won't burn the motor out of this thing.... well...

For 23â€Sniper RTR, we just put the electronics stuff which are suitable for beginner. But we can make it faster by using high KV motor and large Amp ESC so the Sniper can run . We tried 6S battery which can put the boat like a rocket but stable. Hope you enjoy it.

If I am to correctly infer from his simple english translation, is that he or they have tried it on lipo up to 6S and it is silly fast. I also infer that it is using the inexpensive Suppo/himodell type esc which are normally 2-6S. If you fry the esc John, it may cost you all of $12 for a nice really smooth Plush 30amp esc.

John, you're just chicken to try 4S like I keep suggesting.

Every time I email you to ask about a KIT or ASSEMBLE version of the DF23 you just tell me the RTR is $250 + shipping.

I build my own boats, I like your kit. Why will you not sell me a kit if you advertise it? VERY BAD delta force!!! Very bad.

I own DF 33" and I did own DF 25" but sold it.

I am a good customer, why will you not sell me your product?

Can I get kit PLEASE!!!
Maybe 2? How much for 10? I can sell them at Toronto Hobby Show in October or have you got a Canadian Sales Rep. for that already???

Further more, we are now producing assemble version for the 23" Sniper with gel coat colour, full yellow, upper yellow lower white, Full white. The kit comes with all hardware. The hardware is same as RTR. Also we will attach some simple pattern sticker in the kit.

We have no agent in Canada at the moment. You are welcome to cooperate with us with your sales force.

Again, I apologise to all the customers with my late reply. Pls give me your idea dealer price which can get the market share in your place. Can sent it to my email: [email protected]

As there are lot of copy cat in China so we need to adjust our price to compet with. Also it is one of reason we do RTR. Also all our boat are being sold by ourself and one of HK model shop only. So we are appreciated to those party who has interested to become our distributor.

Pls kindly give us your opinion what we can/should cooperate.

tks
CY
