which boat for chop?
im an average boater with no desire to get into racing, and i already decided on buying my boat from this website, i just need to choose which one, the only thing i need it to do is be the best boat on this page for chop and still have a respectable top speed (my 1:1 boat goes about 40 mph, so i was hoping for at least 25 mph out of an rc boat, and i dont want it to be gas powered, so which would you choose? theres a page two by the way
heres the page:

i`d say pick anything in a vee bottom hull , they tend to be a bit more stable , i personally have both types , the cats do tend to be a bit more on the wild side in a good chop but the speed is second to none on calm water . i`d get something with one motor it is just easier to maintain . the twin will sound very cool though , i have bought a few boats that started life as a twin but ended up a single , i think they run better and longer with a single engine . thats just my 2 cents worth . happy hunting .

Darla makes the best suggestion. This big boat will handle the chop much better than the other 27" Grey boat.
It's twice the size almost!
The motor looks like a Castle Clone!!! 40mm x 70mm, 4 Poles!! Dang!

Try the Pursuit. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=11853&Product_Name=Pursuit_Brushless_V-Hull_R/C_Boat_(820mm)_Plug-n-Drive If you go to a-zracing.com they have a video of it running in some moderate chop and it looks like it handles great, but also flies!! http://www.shop.a-zracing.com/produc...&categoryId=42

Idk. I ordered the Genesis last night! So hopefully that will be here soon. The genesis might not handle it as well but heres a vid of it in some chop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzaPW...eature=related Yes, they are all one battery. I dont know about the osprey though. All of the other boats go down except that one so who knows.

RE: which boat for chop?
ok so you thinks the osprey would be best then the pursuit? i really wish the osprey would go down in price, then itd be perfect, but it says on the website that it need two batteries which just adds to the cost, so youre saying between the genesis and the pursuit go for the pursuit, unless the price drops on the osprey, then go for it?

RE: which boat for chop?
I would go with the Big Mono MsDarla suggested!
that is a huge hull with a possible Castle style motor in it.
also the boat from a-zracing will not last long, maybe 2 or 3 runs, the motor and esc will fail..
they are a chinese import that I can get for almost 1/2 of what they are charging and I wont import them because the electronics are poor

RE: which boat for chop?
id like to stay under 300 for the boat, and the villain ex isnt as fast as the others, i need it to do 25+ and hopefully more, and the fast tech seems a little small, wouldnt that affect its ability in chop?

and the Fastech doe great in chop, and it's the hulls design that makes it good in chop..
