hobbyking, tracking shipping.
is anybody familiar with how to track your package after it is shipped from hobbyking? i click on the reference number next to my order and it takes me to the hongkong postage site where it asks for a reference number, i enter what i believe to be the reference number and the site is unable to find any information regarding that number. Am i putting in the wrong number? where can i find the correct information?

I'm confused... what did you buy that was actually in stock??? Everything I'm waiting for is back-ordered... chargers, batteries, connectors... yuck. Seemingly the entire inventory.

RE: hobbyking, tracking shipping.
It's just you, they have tons of stuff in stock.
What do you expect? they are the least expensive place to buy just about anything rc.
Try buying something from Venom, LOL, no spare parts, no new stock of boats etc...
I ordered 2 motors and charge connectors.

only thing i ordered not in stock was 2s 20c 5000 mah packs and a infrared thermometer, would have had it all if pay pal didn't half screw me, other half was my fault

RE: hobbyking, tracking shipping.
I've been buying stuff from Hobbyking for several years and never had a problem until a a couple of months ago. After going back and forth with them and PayPal for a month to get squared away with my creditcard, they finally got it straighten out. By that time one of the items was on backorder. It was not on backorder when I first ordered. I'm still waiting. Go figured.

RE: hobbyking, tracking shipping.
I'm currently waiting on 4s batteries, small airplane parts and small 3 cell packs.
I'm hoping it's quick to arrive as I had to pay $42 for shipping due to the weight of my order.

my shipping was 36 for all the stuff they had in stock and i placed a separate order for the back order stuff that was like 19 bucks in shipping, i guess it's better then flying to hong kong or paying U.S. mark up, it would be nice if the hobbyking stuff showed up shortly after my kinetech racing order, but i think it will take an extra week for some reason, hope i am proved wrong.

EMS Express to Canada (MAX 2.5kg) $42.41
Exact Quote
I had to select this due to weight. It gave me another option of 41.xx and it said 7-14 days so I chose EMS express for a dollar more. LOL

What's EMS website address? They're new to me. But they sound like someone to know, if you guys are going to deal with them instead of hobbyking.
I'd been buying from Tower for almost twenty years, until hobbyking came along a few years ago, with their much lower prices. But I am so disgusted with hobbyking I'm about ready to go back to Tower. At least I know I'm going to get what I ordered, in a reasonable time, and without a hassle.

Thanks, asuspervee72,
I guess that's okay. But faster shipping doesn't do much good, if Shark can't learn how to process Pay Pal.

That's been my experience with a lot of stuff from Hong Kong.
When shipping to Canada, the US sellers don't charge much less for shipping than HK sellers, and the stuff takes longer to arrive on average (your experience may vary). Couple that with the WAY cheaper prices for stuff from Hobby City, and it's getting harder and harder to justify ordering from the US.
Just don't cheap out with the shipping - I made that mistake (International Air Mail) with a recent Hobby City order - after they shipped it the HK post office warned that it could take up to 45 days to arrive.[X(]
From now on, I'll always go with EMS shipping. Considering all the money I save on all the items I buy, it's really worth the extra cost.
For US buyers, it's probably a whole different ballgame. Shipping within the US is much cheaper and it has to be faster than from HK.

They always say that.
Usually 2-3 weeks now it seems.
My motors are finally boarding a plane and heading here... 2 weeks after I made purchase.
Now I get an email saying they now have a 24 hour turn around for orders to ship, WTH???
Shipping out within 24hrs!
