After he makes a purchase and takes it into the rough water, I'll be saying, I told you sooo.....

Yes those boats are semi-scale but semi-scale means you'll be chasing it when its upside down...

Good luck...

ORIGINAL: Visual Perfection

Have you looked into the new Proboat Shockwave 26 brushless?

It can run Lipos right out of the box, has 2.4ghz radio, and should handle rougher water just as well as a Villain.

I have one and although I am gone on vacation right now and was only able to use it through 2 batteries before I left, it seems like a quick solid boat (on Lipos it should be quicker yet) and it only costs $240.

Just another option for you
I'm not sure how well that boat will take chop?

Can't be much differen't than the Villain I wouldnt think. When I bought it that was one of the things I wanted it to be able to do, as I would like to use it out on the Gulf on a calm day when we are out fishing etc.. From video's ive seen it looks to take chop pretty well.

Will let you know once I get a chance to run it in some chop
