My next RC project is a very fast speed boat (I already have a mono, running on 3s), but I really appreciate all of your support on this matter.

I'm thinking about this hull, made of carbon and kevlar:

Length: 930 mm
Length (oa): 1040 mm
Width: 280 mm

The goal is, at least, beat 65mph.

Concerning this, my major question is: which motor and ESC should I be using? My budget for those is about €500 (approximately USD650).

By the way, I'm planning using between 6S and 8S Lipo batteries.

Firstly, are you planning to run twin drives or single? For twin drives , you will need 2 motors and 2 esc's. Have you considered the budget for these yet? There are a few questions which you need to have answers for before anyone can help you figure out motor and esc. In North America we mostly use NEU motors and some cheap chinese made motors. What brand motor do you plan on using? Lehner? or cheap chinese motors?

Thanks for the reply. Like I said before, my budget for ESC and motor combo is about €500 (approximately 650USD). And I'm really sorry for didn't mentioned before, but I want single drive.
