Default SR71 EDF boat

I design and build all my boats from scratch. The boat is made from Baltic Burch plywood ,balsa ,and fiberglass I wanted to build something different with EDF's and this is what I am building .I have always liked the USAF SR71 so that is what Iwanted to build .It has twin 3400kva edf's with air rudders .

That thing looks awesome! How did it perform on the water? I am building a edf boat right now, nothing like that but it should go.. I will post some pics when it is complete.

Thank you The boat didnot preform well . It had so much suction it would pull water from under the boat into the intake . I was told edf have know low end power and they are right .Could not get it on plane

Wow thats too bad sorry too hear that, nice build regardless.  Are  you thinking of changing anything to make it perform better, oor is it just a lost cause? I am currently building a dual edf boat, more of a flat bottom design. check it out, its called dual edf junkyard boat, in the airboat section, let me know what you think.

I"m going to be modding an RTR dual EDF boat soon to include a jet drive for better planing and steering. Maybe you could do the same by putting dual jets in the sponsons of your boat?

Sorry to hear that Ekim.
But I slapped a couple on an old boogie board rescue boat & it went OK . I added sponsons for the fast runs to make a kind of tunnel hull effect to reduce the water contact. You could give that a try.
Cheers.
Paul.

I like that reverse capability - super maneuverable. Way cool!
