The conquest is a nice looking Cat,
but if your looking for more speed, your better off with the SprintCat.
the conquest should run around mid 60's.
a member here has his sprintcat at 81mph with an SS enterprise full mod 26cc Zen.

RE: aeromarine conquest
Just because its a 29 doesnt mean it should be going any faster. Dont know whats done to it, nor what kind of timing it has. If its timed on the mild side.. it may not be able to turn theRPM with enough prop to go much faster then it already is.
But on the subject of how the Conquest will compare.. that really depends what you are doing. SAW running, Oval running, Rough water racing... with typical "all around" running... the Conquest has the ability to carry speeds similar to the Sprintcat. They will handle rough water a bit better, and dont suffer from the hooking out of nowhere in the turns like many Sprintcats suffer from, IF you have it setup and trimmed right, along with having a prop on it that the boat really likes.

RE: aeromarine conquest
Thanks for that guys, the engine I am using is a performance motors top end on a standered Zen bottom with added bearings with a 813 walbro carb with a prop shop 7016x3 prop as yet I gone into the finer aspects of tunning as the sprint cat hull is a bit beaten up the new cat will be aimed at oval running although I nolonger race. Any comments Thanks.

I agree. If you arent dead set on a Conquest.... definetely check out the R42 if you havent already. Ive owned just about every race cat on the market, and the R42 has by far been my favorite one. Can see the review i did on MGB.

RE: aeromarine conquest
Hey guys Im about to start with my first gas boat and was needing some help. Im thinking of the Aquacraft 51z because of its RTR price is only 750 shipped, but I really like the looks of the cats alot beter. I wont be doing any racing and need somthing with good rough water characteristics because the lakes and rivers I would be running in are kinda rough and a lot of my running will be done along side a real boat in a pretty rough lake. Anyways Ive got my eyes on either the Aeromarine Conquest or the Avenger Pro, just a stock zenoah "for now" What would you guys think of the conquest or avenger with the Bonzi CZ Out sytem as far as hardware goes. I dont know much about all this but I like the look of the inline system. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Expresscraft thunderbolt ,scale looks and handles rough water better than most.Best looking cat out there in my opinion and Tom is a great guy,be aware the seam on it may need a little work ie wet sanding and painting over.

RE: aeromarine conquest
I second the R42! Here is a vid of my old one from 2008. I was running an M+D cast motor in this one. I won every race I was in that year! I have a new one with a Q/D HT motor in it now. Just as fast and a hell of a lot more durable than anything Aeromarine could make. AC hulls are second to none! Good luck on your choice, just remember quality comes at a price. I have a lot of friends that are stuck in that Aeromarine cesspool and are replacing hulls every year... Brian
