Hello, I´m new to this forum and into the Hobby, I live in Panama Republic of Panama, already have a Shockwave 36 (Nitro) but this hobby is very vicious and already want to get a Gas boat.
Thinking inSS 55orRio 51z, please recommend me or give me any sugestion as you people are experts.

What kind of money are you able to spend? Are you looking or new or used? Have you considered building your own?

stay away from the rio they have had alot of problems with the engine bieng pulled out of the hull on the first pull of the starter stringers no glassed in right there are better boat for the same $$$$ heres a link to what i think would be better options for a first gas boat [link]http://www.whobbies.com/[/link]

Experts? Well, I've just been around for a while in here. For the money that a 55 SS would cost, you can do much better by looking at something from Warehouse Hobbies, www.whobbies.com . You can either get one ready to run or in an easy to build kit with holes already drilled and instructions. There's just something more gratifying about putting it together yourself plus you learn how to work on it.

Just today I place my order,Magnum 57 (white) +M5 and some spares parts, pics soon jejejeje!
Thanks for the advice, I think there is no comparative with my initial options.

Congrats on the new boat! Best of luck with it ! Take care of it and it will be great for a long time, mine is going on 5 yr.s old and still runs great! I just picked up another one that is about 1 yr. old. I will be posting progress on it in the Enforcer thread on here.
