You are going to have to write a tighter script if you are hoping to be up front ! and hey - pay attention to the Lights - Camera- ACTION board, you dont want to start ROLLING your camera crew to late !
Remember - Racing is all IMPROV- there is now 'cutting and splicing the final act.
As for the Cowboy- you are right- since I lost his PULL START he just seems to have LOST his FINNISH as well.

To answer the question about " whats the little thing in the front" he gets that all the time .............................LOL

Jokes aside- we place a fixed weight attached to a 500ml IV bag in the very nose of the boat to establish the correct CG. The fixed weight is for the ideal static CG balance and then the IV bag is to add further weight ( filling with water) on race day, depending on weather/water conditions and driving style.
We simply drill a small hole in the nose, thread a piece of cord through, attach it to the weight (which is attached to the IV bag, pull it into the nose, and tie the cord with a knot, then trim it off.
A heavier nose will allow you to tap- off later for the turns and give you a tighter turn, it also allows for a more stable boat, however its a fine balance between losing actual speed and been faster around the course.

As I shared with a mate yesterday - 60% of F1 racing is won off the water during "Correct set up"

Here's my take. Both Dom and Roland are fast at the races because they both have fast fingers. You can easily tell as one is always doing double posting and the other miss the keys of the words he typed. LOL.
You better start practicing fast fingers on some video games if you are going to beat them this coming race. hehehe.

Speaking of fast fingers, Dom fast fingers is not working fst enough on the video he promise to do sound deleting so I can watch it on this side of the pond. Come mate, can't keep me waiting too long or I'll doze off. zzzzzzzzz.

My son Nicholas is very excited as we are fitting an Enigma CAMBER inboard Out-drive on to his Gas V Bottom.

You guys are going to have to get mic'd up on race days for all of us that cant be there to hear all the stirring and rivalry. Maybe you guys can make up some flyers to send of to school with kids to increase the spectators, and you never know, you might even get some extra sales out of it as I'm sure the young boys would love these boats if exposed to them-especially when they would be seeing great racing action like in the earlier vids.
La-Tiff, maybe you can get Dom to send you a copy of the vids on disc, may be easier for you both????

Who knows, I might even doctor the vid and add in my own commentary if I have the names of all the boaters and the hull they are driving.
For a start I know Dom's tunnel, Roland's. That's easy as they are the two leaders in the race. It's the others that I don't know.

I do my best to keep my kids away from' this bunch'...................................LOL

You know - nowadays it is so hard to get kids involved.
I think with the advent of PC games kids are less interested in actual RC.
The initial cost is also a big expense for the parents to lay out.
It may also be my perception, but many parents simply dont seem to have the time to spend doing this with there kids.

HOWEVER - my two sons are really keen on racing and my older boy 'Nicholas' [8D]9 years of age (Quick- Nick), is now getting ready to race with the Big Guns in the V class. Once he can race good lines- I will promote him to the F1 class - starting with a muffler set up motor.
