Default What I have over 60

Made a post in another forum where pics of boats over 60" were being shared. Thought I would add it here too.
In all 19 boats 60" or longer (of near 50 boats total) plus an 84" apache mold so hopefully a few more when I get the chance (or if Mart ever comes over and builds some!!)

Older pics since I dont run enough and cannot photograph when I do :banghead: so chances are you may well have seen mine already :rooleyes2:

MHZ Fountain - Just shy of 9ft overall. Twin counter rotating CMB 35RS motors

The zenoah give a little scale to the pic!!

HPR 2.33 Cat - Just shy of 8ft overall. Counter rotating inline zenoahs

92" ClassOne Cat - Just shy of 8ft overall. Counter rotating inline zenoahs (still going in).

74" Jolly Motors PIP cat - QD35

72" MHZ Reckless - Twin zenoahs driving counter rotating S6 sterndrives.

69" MHZ Jolly motors cat - MHZ blata 40.

65" Ballantine Griffin - Ballantine prepped G62 zenaoh

65" Expresscraft GTX - Inline zenoah driving counter rotated S6 sterndrive

A few other projects in the works that are over 60"

60" Expresscraft MTI with inline zenoah

65" Expresscraft GTX with inline zenoah, 65" MHZ Fountain with QD35 and S6 Sterndrive, 63" MHZ XXX Muscle with Mathe 35

65" Expresscraft GTX with Mathe 70 driving twin counter rotating S6 stern drives (will probably depower this one as it is a super heavy weight)

And the rest
92" Callan cat - unsure what will be powering her after hull is reinforced.
74" Blackhawk Cat - Inline zenoah.
70" Expresscraft apache - 23cc zenoah
60" Expresscraft Thundercat with Ballantine G62
Two other thundercat clones
84" Apache mold (looks a little small in the corner between the big cats) - more apaches to come!!

Matt, you have way to many boats, lol Great looking fleet by the way. Man some of those boats are BIG. Just showed the mrs and told her the amount of boats you had and all she could say is, that there stored neat. When she saysto me " how many more do you want" I will remind her of the amount that you have
Here are pics of my 2 that are over 60". My MHZ Mystic and my MHZ cto3. I really want a mono or 2 once I sort out my cto3.

Matt that fountain is crazy lol. And Mart I bet that apache was expensive from bonzi but man it looks good lol. And Matt Ray Lamm down here Naples makes the ballantine hulls now and he does great work maybe talk with him since a little closer Im sure he would lay up some hulls for you.

Beautiful thing here in the US is that they have basements under many of the houses in the north - gives you a huge area to play with the toys (Mine is around 1100sqft - bit of a mess though!!). I started out in this hobby back in Gosford (NSW) and can only say it got a whole lot easier here in the US to buy and build.

I have to say between those two cats you have that you are off to a very fine start to the hobby. I am not allowed to use the word Turbine near my wife.

Scott - I appreciate the tip. I am looking to keep the mold close to home where I can control its use. I have heard of too many things going wrong with long distance arrangements over the years.

Indeed another Aussie. Basements are great - still dont know why they dont use them in Australia - nice and cool in the summer too.

When I was enjoying the bachelor life I had an apartment devoted to the hobby. Was quite the life. Kitchen counters are perfect for motor work. Landlord was not impressed with having a mill set up in the bedroom though - not with carpeted floors. I am still pushing to get a boat or two up into the house - not liking my chances though.
