Hey daz why not sell it and get the side ex theyre better motors anyway and you dont need a tuned pipe an x can would be ideal for an outboard setup, less weight and decent power too.

Hey mart
ill stick to this 1 for now, cant afford to start swapping and changing now,the only reason i would is if i had a outboard lower.
Ill just finish and run this and get the hull tested and setup the best i can then go from there

I agree with Mart even for the inboard setup I would still sell the rear exhaust. You are only going to get about 2 hours of running out that motor before it is rebuild time. My second hand Zenoah I sold after 2 seasons of running and all it asked was a ring. We race 4 heats of 15 laps 10 times per year on the Naviga M course of 300mtr. If you calculate that it is 198km of running (not even taking practice day running) and the Guy that bought the motor is still racing with that same ring and running strong in our championship. yes the side exhaust would detract from the neat lines you have made but man the cost saving will far out weight it.

Hey Bud,
Looking real good there.
I guess you'll be putting some Naca duct for cooling the engine as well as the inside of the fuselage when running.
Won't be long now before she hits the water.

Can't wait for that moment so I can claim my bets.lol.
Keep up the good effort mate.

Wait for the K30 to be released. They have changed the barrel to support the piston better. Should be better as a rear exhaust. Look on MGB there is a thread about it showing the jug.

Yea that would look cool mate go for it.As a side note it pains me to say but RCMK are letting down its customers, releasing motors that havent been tested enough then coming up with new ones to replace the ones that dont work, might be worth emailing mr Park and asking him to exchange that one for the new one when its available ?.I used to be a fan of rcmk and have defended them in the past but they now just seem to let customers test there motors for them and thats just not right.

Hi guys
finished all the fibreglassing now, removed the foam from inside cockpit, cut the screen out and drilled out some big holes in the back of cockpit and in the front of the canopy to allow the air through.
Im gonna modify the strut and bracket so i can get the stuffing in and lined, also make a support for the stuffing.

Daz thats not too heavy for a hull that size and like i keep saying a little extra weight is not allways a bad thing.I would think a glass version would weigh in at arround 9lb so i wouldnt worry too much about weight. My roundnoses weigh in at arround 15-16 lb fully loaded so i dont think you will be too far off that.
As regards that rcmk re id ask him to supply that new cylinder head kit free for when yours fails because as has been said they dont last very long.

Daz

To give an idea our 47" tunnel is about 4kg including hatch. After fitting everything we still ad about 300g of lead in the nose to get the cg right. And out leg only weight about 750grams compared to the Lawless which is about 1.2kg. What we did find was that in rougher conditions we have to ad a 500g of lead to get her to settle down and cut the wakes instead of climbing over. Your 10 lb is fine run her.
