I need a custom 38" long 3/16" flexible drive shaft, square on both ends. Sources?

me too, but I am in Germany located.
I only use SUHNER (Swiss) heavy duty flex cable with dia 1/4" and I have a pressing device (plus a 40tons press)

i wonder how a left and right hand 3/16 cable spliced together with a brass sleeve and soldered would work, if you used the square end from each cable, and used the couplar as a bearing race in your stuffing box, just wondering i dont know if it would work. but maybe.

Whoever is making the After market replacement Outboard Cables could do this. It slips my mind who is doing those. Go to International Waters and make you post there you will find someone who can handle that. Kintec is into nitro and 3/16" sized cables and hardware so as already suggested ask them or for a reference to someone they know maybe.
