Sorry, should have mentioned that this is a plug to take a mould from . It's not quite ready to take a mould from just yet but it wont be too far away.

Still a bit of work needed before they will be available for sale.
Mould to be made, a glass hull to be laid up, hull will need to be tested and if all goes well then they will be available.

Heres one more pic

Yes, mdf again with plenty of filler
I'm using a polyurethane primer for these now - no problems what so ever.

If you like working with poly primer, you should check out and try some of the 2K Urethane based primer. Has far superior filling capabilities over poly based primers (which is also good). I've been busy lately designing and producing photobooths and some of them are painted with automotive basecoat/clearcoat. The Urethane primer fills in the little grains very easily in usually two coats....sprayed about 5 minutes from each other. It sands very easily without gumming up the paper like Epoxy and Poly based primers tend to do. Poly in this sense is a prefix to Urethane. Polymers are added to urethane (basically a rubber) to form longer chain molecules or polyurethane.

Good luck with your poject, I molded a cat hull a few years ago. Take your time and you will have a great mold!

You would be surprised to hear its cheaper for me to send overseas than within Australia ... go figure

I started this one in October 2011 and we're almost ready to get wet.

She gets wet for the first time this Sunday.

Well I gotta say I'm interested. Any idea of price. A rear exhaust engine would look good in there.

Cheers

I made sure there's enough room for for an inline twin during the plug build so there's no problems bolting one in.
If she performs well I'll do a half cab version to allow for tunnel mounted twin singles as well

Why weigh a 45" hull down with twins? a single 30 cc motor will far outperform a twin in that size hull im sure, power to weight ratio .Nice looking cat good luck with it.

We hit the water today and after a bit of strut adjustment she fly's! We ended up bolting in a modded 29.5cc Zenoah to test with and I couldn't have asked for a better result. She rides very well , corners at full throttle and has no intention of back flipping.

not the best quality ...

You really gave it a work out, looks great on the water, nice and flat, a twin may be too much for it, any idea when it may be advailable and price?

Cheers
