Hi All, one of my latest builds. Hull arrived, checked engine fitment, measured and marked out transom before going to paint.

Cheers

New shaft tube finally arrives after first one damaged in post. Now just have to wait on the weather to improve(raining cats and dogs) before I can break out the fiberglass to fit it.

Got plenty of flotation stuff, I usually fit that at the end of the build, that way there is plenty of room to work in.

Got nothing done today as it has been wet here all day, just hope tomorrow is a better day.

Fitted the radio switch access. Used a drink bottle neck and lid. Remove bottle neck from bottle and clean up. Dirll hole same size as neck in radio box lid in the position the switch will be below it. Deglaze the radio lid(this is a must to get a good joint no matter what glue you use) and bottle neck where they will join. I use automotive urethane, once dry(over night) it will not seperate and no smell to damage electronics. You only need a small amount 4ml. This is the same stuff that holds windscreens in your car.

Cheers

Hi All,
It got wet this morning.
Got sick of waiting for parts, so I borrowed some from another boat. Header too short, engine tune way off on the top end and the prop too deep. Will now do some adjustments and hope that the parts I'm waiting on turn up soon.
Sorry about the quality of the video, as it's a bit hard to hold the camera and control the boat at the same time.

Cheers

I run Spektrum radio with MR3000 RX's. I fit them with longer antenna. This gives out of sight range, learnt this with my buggies. The little antenna on the RX's (surface) are good for about 100ft, good for electric cars and nitro cars on a track, not so good for boats.

Hi All,

Got sick of waiting for Aussie Post, was hoping they would arrive today, parts will probbley arrive on Monday morning, so I added some length to the header and will run with the (borrowed) RX tomorrow, weather permitting.

Hi All,
Got one run in this morning before the ski boaters turned up. After getting home I checked the plug and it is still a tad rich on the high side and I think the pipe is just a little long. Will have to lean it out a tad and recheck, it just was not quite comming up on the pipe.

Cheers

Very nice boat and clean setup. Waiting for your final tests. Can you tell me the type and brand of the engine?

Thanks, Getting there, just working around the weather and the water skiers at the moment, won't be long and I'll be the only one on the water as winter stops the water skiers. The engine is a RCMK K30RZ

Hi All,

Had the boat out again today, got the high needle adjusted now, just waiting on the exhaust header so I will be able to adj the pipe length, still too long. Slight chine rocking, so some trim tab adj will be required.
