How do you haul your boat?
Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to see what you were all using to haul your boats to the lake. Do you use bags, carrying case, etc? I am just trying to get some ideas to keep the boat and equipment safe during travel.
Boat is going to be between 47 - 55 inces long.
Thanks!!!

RE: How do you haul your boat?
many of us make our own stands and some people attach handles or rops to the stand to make handles and carry the boats.Ideally i was thinking about using a cart of sorts with the stand made out of some pvc tubing to make things easier.

5 x 8 Haulmark.
I used to just throw them in the back of my SUV until my collection grew and then hauling all of the support equipment got to be too much to fit inside. Then I'd just bungee them on their stands. Some make PVC racks for multiple boats.

Mine didn't say a word surprisingly as she knew that I had been looking for one for a while. The gas fumes inside the ride was also a big concern for me but that's the time that I switched over to campstove fuel.
If you've got several boats and get into racing then a trailer starts making sense for many of us. With the multi-day ones that I hit you need to haul food and clothing also. Car-top carriers could be an option for you if you need the room.

I haul mine in the back of my 1988 Bronco. I gets a bit cramped with 3 boats and all the fixins, but most weekends I'm only taking 2 to the lake. Brian

i knew when I saw my e-mail and it had your name in it, you were up to something!
Nah, I don't do scale hydro's as most of the owners around here are too anal about theirs. I have been thinking about a gas sport hydro though. Around here you run a Blazer Backlash or follow them! Brian's got a lock on D-2 and 14.
I had a nitro boat sitting outside of the trailer when I took that shot that I've been splitting mine time working on that and the trailer. Where I'm going to put it at is the question. I may have to add another shelf on the left side.
