Default Digital Tachometer

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Gas boats so please bare with me.

Can some of you explain the benefits of installing the Tach on my 26CC Zenoah motor? I assume I can use the maximum RPM to measure weather I need to Prop up or down, correct?

The specs on my motor are 5.5HP @ 16,800RPM. How would I use the tach to decide whether I should prop up or prop down?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Default RE: Digital Tachometer

A tach is good for tuning a boat, working out the best pipe length and see what rpm your pulling with different props and set ups. A gps is also good device to have when setting up a boat.
Without a tac you never know what rpm range your boats running at and if your using your set up to its max performance.
