The Bonzi's I have like around 12 1/2" to 12 1/4" . I would try it first but look for a header thatwill bring you back around 12 3/4" and start going down (small increments) till youfind 'power band'
The muffler is ok straight as any water will empty when it is running - I would look at maybe a 90degree by 2"(54mm) - remove theend (if it's a extra piece added to stinger) and bolt your mufflerto pipe stinger that exits from rear of boat. My pipe was barely outside boat andnever had enough for muffler, but your motor is further back whichI don't understand as I woukl think it would be further ahead to make up clutch weight in back ??
Whatis the actual COG of thatRico at ?
I have a Bonzi 'quiet pipe' which is shorter (overall) and quieter and would do away with silencer
PMB2 x 90*

RE: Manifold Question
Ok, so I'll be wise and get the CS43
I placed the engine exactly as told by Richie from Rico and he saw my set up after I've done the changes and approved OK.
The COG is at 1/3rd of the hull length (40cm) with all the hardware and full tank.

for a quick check - Pick the boat up with 2 fingers inside the top lip of hull and see where it balances in your hands. Move your fingers back and forth till you can get it to balance. Measure that point from back of hull.
I use a short wooden dowel and insert inside lip and lift if it does not balance (front to back) I move stick forward or back till it does. Adding extra ideas can throw COGout. Diff pipes etc weigh more some times (like the Bonzi)
Just do a quick check and see approx. where you are at
I actually balance mine side to side too

RE: Manifold Question
Randy
Is this check suppossed to be done with all the hardware and full tank?
What is the ideal COG?
What is the balance you look for at side to side considering the prop effect?
Thanks

RE: Manifold Question
yes you need everything in it not sure what Rico says to me depends on boat - engine and what I want the boat used for
I like around 31 - 33 % for play boats but to me just a place to start then test in water and see what it does
side to side I like neutral as I run nice sharp thin props - so torque roll usually not much of a issue
Randy
I'm no expert on boats or Rico's so maybe someone like Ron will chime in

RE: Manifold Question
tbaysal
sorry I goofed your name up
you can have the aluminum header in the picture if you like.
I use different pipes now and have no use for it.
It may be too deep for your boat, but if there is a welding school around.
You could cut the off set to make it a 90 degree bend,
the teachers might weld a flange on for free just to show the students.
