Default Newbie need lot of help and advise

Hi all,

I'm new here to the boat forum and need some help to identify this boat and help with getting this boat in the water. Your advise and help are greatly appreciate, please forgive me if I have some stupid questions along the way. (by the way, this boat was giving to me by my neighbor and he doesn't have any info on it either). Forgot to mention the length of the boat, it is a 72"

So far I had bought 2-Zenoah G260PUM 3.25 HP Marine Engine w/ WT-644 carb, with Bonzi Sport clutch sytems and have one of them to be converted to counter rotating by Bonzi Sport. Most of the hardware and electronics. The two things that I'm lacking off are Pipes and Props.

How high are those "runner" and how far from the transome do I mount the motor? Is it around 21.6" cause the 30% of the CG?

Going to say its an Expresscraft Apache nice hulls if you dont have the hatch can still get them. Zipkits has pipes that will work for what you have think there right around $100.00 for everything you need with larger hulls I like my cg around 25-28 % as there is no way you will ever blow that beast over backwards like on a race hull and its easy to add weight if needed jmo but most people do set cog at 30% also you will want to mount the drives about 4 1/2"- 4 3/4" apart and a single rudder in between

Thank you guys for quick response. What is the thickness and height of the runner do I have to cut? I want to add a layer of Carbon Fiber to the hull for clean look and strength, will it effect the radio transmission if I use a 2.4Ghz Futaba radio?

Call in the evening during the hours Carlo has posted they take phone calls and work out a time to have him look at your setup. There are some really good boat builders around your area and the Voodoo club is right there also. Joining that club would go a long ways in your boat education. http://www.voodoorcboatclub.com/
