new guy with a question
Well I traded an old traxxas emaxx truck for an 04 enforcer gator with the 25cc homelite engine. Ive got a couple 1:5 bajas.
My question is do any of yall know if my king motor 30.5cc motor will have any issues going into the boat? At first glance it looks like I should be able to make it work without much effort. I havent seen anyone thats done it though. Thanks for any input.

Without seeing it I can only give it a maybe for now. Swapping out an old Homie for a newer gas engine will be some work but if it's Zenoah based like a lot of the gas buggy engines it can be done but it's going to take a lot of hardware to do it which should be easily available. Warehouse Hobbies used a lot of hardware that was made in-house or farmed out which was exclusive to them but those parts can be easily substituted.
As another heads-up, the Gator wasn't made to be a speed demon as over 50 MPH the handling gets a little funny on them. In their time they could handle the 25-30 MPH or so speeds but the bottom may be a little wavy.

Not many use aircooled engines in boats anymore. Watercooled small flywheel engines are so plentiful and cheap along with mounts available to go right on them it just makes sense to use them in boats.
The large flywheel engines are heavier have a high center of gravity because you can't get them as low in the boat and you can't buy any mounts for them. Of course they can be fabricated but time consuming.
