please realize that were randy has the pipe marked is how deep you want the header to go in the pipe, Do not cut the tuned pipe only the header, I know you probably understand what he mwas showing you but I would rather tell you just in case....LOL. (what he is showing you on post 69).

I did Randy just read through quick then was thinking I better post just in case. thank you for helping Like you always do me and Scott talked on the phone for a bit, I think for a new boater his first time in the water was slow but not bad, His strut was trimed negative pushing the bow down, As well as he will be checking His CG. If its nose heavy that is a lot of barge to push until it gets up on plane, these few items that are most likely the overall issue will make a HUGE improvement and he is on it. Look forward to his next runs, Of course these are bench things but we did talk about 1 adjustment ,small at a time at the lake.

Yes
Once you establish a baseline for carb and pipe - then one thing at a time for sure

Figure out your radio first (end points, range, how long it lasts, etc)

hardware settings - strut angle / height - dog spacing and washers etc - a good prop etc

and already have a great motor - it just needs to 'breathe harder '

Zoom zoom

**
If you have trouble getting pipe to 13" or less - you can switch to a 90 degree X 2" header and just move exhaust outlet over and have the "Apache" look (better is quad exhaust on a Apache.)

like so

Ya I'll probably need to change that out as well as there is only a 1/2" or so left that can be cut and then I am at the bend and cant go any further. Tom was telling me about some velocity stacks but it looked like they are discontinued now days on tower hobbies.

Some Facebook memories popped up today from two years ago with the Enforcer. Looked like I was having fun that day. I love the weeds flying in the last picture.

That stinks that the stacks are gone now I did not know that, they made very nice exhaust outlets. I did find the part number but have not looked it up, the number is GPMG2100 it is a great planes number, GP owns tower hobbies. velocity stack 25-41. I only bought them for great looking fake exhaust outlets.

I replaced the header with a 2" offset over the weekend and bought a pipe cutter which made a nice clean cut. Did some other little things too like dumped the cable for solid linkage on the throttle, lot more travel now, had to turn the exp from 114% down to around 70% for it to make a full throttle motion. Hatch is held on in front by magnets, and latches in the rear. Got a tachometer installed. I ordered the Bonzi clutch and dual water pump today to install that later this week when i get it. I liked having the clutch on the enforcer sooo much better, so now this one will too.

Also built my trailer and installed a hitch on my car. Added a little strut and 3" PVC to make the runners for the boat to sit on. Works great and brought the boat home. Stopped to check the straps a couple of times since it was the first time and wanted to be sure. Never budged. That hull is very strong, able to strap it down good.

Time to install the Bonzi clutch and the dual water pump. I bought a new isolator block with the fitting already installed, but now I realize my engine came with a nice metal one which is much smoother on the inside.

First time ever tapping a hole in my life lol.

I did it at 30% on the initial install. So now its going to work its way back a bit but I think it could use it anyways.

As to the prop, it looks very nice. It's nice and rounded on the ends, compared to the bonzi one which is like a 90 degree end just about.

I think it will be perfect 29% is a better number. the clutch as added weight in the engine section of the boat will not shift your CG much, All sounds and looks good, just little tweaks is all that will be left I think ,anyways.

I looked it up and I found people saying 30% was a good balance point for a deep v, This was way before I had talked to you on the phone when you said 27% and it was already done. Now it should be closer to that 27. Got it finished up this morning for the weekend.

I found out the clutch forced me to move the rear engine mount to the end of the clutch so that was 2 new holes. But the tricky part was the throttle connection. I was using the zipkits little swivel arm that connects to the engine mount and moves the throttle arm. Well now it was 3" away. Some 1/4" acrylic and a laser cutter solved that issue with a giant arm. We cut several of two different styles, some 90 degree some 60 degree. I had to sand it down a bit where I made the linkage connection as 1/4 was to thick but it works perfect. It may just be a temporary thing for the weekend or it may stay if it works well. I have it connected about half way up on all those holes and the travel was identical to the same settings with the little arm.

Well now I know what it means when the engine/pipe "hits". Once I get around half throttle it kicks in and gets a little squirley and i let off right away. Now that its running great i can get more feel for it and little adjustments. The new prop gives it more steering then before as well. According to my tack it hit 18440 RPMs with me holding the boat in the water.

The clutch is so much better for me at least. And peeing while sitting still now is a big plus. Maybe not for the racers but I sure prefer it.

It is still leaking a bit around the clamp for the manifold and pipe. Its clamped down what looks like all the way. However on the last run i did not see any more smoke coming out from there. Maybe it needed to bake in there i duno.

Well we had our first flip over today. Some jet ski waves and a turn and it was over pretty quick. Went through two tanks of gas as well. Running really good. Buddy had his drone out recording and the girlfriend with my DSLR. Cant wait for the footage.

Only had to fetch it once way out there. Ran out of gas lol. Doesn't last anywhere near as long as the stock engine in the enforcer boat.

looks good on the water, you have more horses to feed now with your motor running good. Totally up to you but you will get some flack for swimming out to get your boat ,it's the one area people have died in model boating is swimming to retrieve one. Just really know your own ability and don't go in because of your last lost boat. Nothing wrong with a life jacket either just in case the swim is further then it looked. Anyways glad it's running good now and I look forward to your video as well.

Ya if that happens I just wont post here anymore. Its our cottage and people swim right out front here. I don't see what the difference is because an RC boat is involved. It's not somewhere random out in the middle of the lake. I can touch bottom up until about 400 feet out. There was no swimming even involved.

Personally I agree 100% That swimming is swimming cold or not or whatever, But we live in a world of cry babies these days. no body holds themselves accountable for anything. If something bad happens it's always someone else's fault. I was only giving you a heads up so when someone does blast you about it you consider the source with a baby bib in there mouth. And do not stop posting because of it. Either way your boat looks good,

Ya the Internet is full of that. I got better things to do then online forum drama.

Had the hatch off for almost all of the running, as it was getting very toasty inside with the hatch on. I opened it up quite a bit more, may be back out there today to test.

Here is what I think of the zipkits motor mounts...Time for some gizmo or bonzi mounts now as well.

I did order some of the gizmo rubber part but I found out they are too big for the zipkits mount. So Ill have a spare set right away. Those ones have a metal core all the way through unlike this junk that is just rubber attached to the bolts on the end.
