Put it this way, I started on one back when they were being CNC cut, now he's using a laser cutter. It goes together quickly, so fast you'll think that you messed up somewhere. It's amazing how much you can get done in an hour or two. I've built 2 of the JAE .12's, a JAE .21, partially built the Easy-Vee, A-Box, The Pro Vee but had Mike Walker build the gas JAE 'rigger for me. All of those were hte early versions except for the Pro Vee which is their lastest kit for now. Updates coming are a modified Thunderboat in which Scott Liddycoat, a full-sized hydroplane racer, Monster truck driver of the Dragon and RC boater worked on. Also an updated JAE 'rigger that NASCAR Sprint Cup racer Martin Truex Jr. redesigned.

If you need any tips, I got a few of them. Clamps, lots and lots of clamps in various sizes and types. On the Pro-Vee, I used Tite-Bond III more than the usual CA and epoxy, the one that dries clear instead of the one that yellows. For weights, I've got a bunch of old 12 volt gel-cell batteries and put some used adhesive-backed sandpaper on them to keep them from sliding around.
Instead of using a plane to trim off the excess, I used a Harbor Freight electric multi-tool that you can cut and sand with. That alone saves a LOT of time. It was $35.00 when I got mine, now it's down to $19.00.
