Klass-Kote is very similar to the old K&B Super-Poxy. Take it easy on the spraying as it can be watery. do some spray testing on something first before hitting the boat with it.

Thanks Ron and was planning on trying it on scrap 1st. have you used Klass Kote befor, they say 1 part paint 1 part crystal and 1 part epoxy thinner.

The best advice that I or many others would give you right now, throw away that streamlined prop nut unless you like buying new props. Your cheaper option is to place a thin slice of your silicone tubing between the nut and prop as that will work as a lock nut if you feel the need to keep it.
With the swivel on the rudder arm, it's not made for 4-40 rod so you'll have to drill it out a little.

Is that a gap I see between the bottom panels and transom? Before you prime and paint the hull, that needs to be properly filled. I'd recommend a slow curing epoxy(I like West Systems myself), mixed with silica fibers, as a filler since this is a structural repair. Don't use microballoons in this case as they are only good for making fillets in non-structural locations.

that prop nut is a joke, I agree, will be putting on a locknut then the bullet. as for the rudder, I don't trust the swivel connections, have 4-40's with clip connections, just have to thread one side once I cut and size it. Swivel just came with rudder, will do pic's of linkages and radio box once done with them. thanks for the input.

It is a 2 piece transom inner one is epoxied to the hilt. I was planning on filling that outer gap with 30 min epoxy. As in the picture you can see a hole for a self balier, that I epoxied in after not liking it there. BTW I didn't not know about micro balloons only being a filler more then strength, wonder why they tell you to strengthen the engine rails with it. Thanks for the input

If you check out this chart, it shows the 407 Low Density, a microballoon mix, being used for surface filling and light structural. Any time I'm filling gaps or need thicker epoxy, I use the 406 colloidal silica fibers since it's more of a structural filler than microballoons. You might want to consider using the 404 or 405, instead, for engine rails

klass kote primer layed down great! showed a little imperfections I need to take care of, other then that, thinking of a paint scheme, I want it black and purple. no flames, everyone does flames , any ideas?

need some advice ... throttle arm going to bell crank. no matter where I put it it will interfere with motor collet tighting.

A picture would help.to see what your issue is. Usually it's a header in the way.
The bellcrank should be an L when looking at it from the top. This isn't a great shot but how I do all of my gas boats.

No problem. I try to keep everything as much as possible the same in all of my gas boats as it makes things a lot easier if I have to do an engine swap at a race. Once I find something that works for me I try to stay with it.

Well it didn't die, sink, or blow up, and made it back to land with out hitting it. Brought it back home the same condition it left with. Always a good thing.
