RE: New Boat trailer SWEET!
Yes those are old revo wheels. I have since then bought new tires and rims to go on it. It tows very well. I bungeed down the boat to the trailer for a test spin and I was impressed. I used my FG MB to tug it and it had no problem at all. I want to pull it in the 4th of july parade next year with my kids. The have revo's and vee hull boats. A couple of my buddies bought fg's when I bought mine and they also bought big boats and built custom trailers too. We should have quite a crew pulling boats in the parade next year. I will try to get some more pics of their trailers soon.

Here is a guy who makes them all the time. Take a look. I will get some more pics of mine when I can lift the boat off of it.

as i understand it, that guy will customize the trailer to fully decked out detail as well. i think i may have a way to set up for auto launching. atleast to a point. not on paper yet, just in my head.
but it will be a few before i can post my ideas. too much family things happening at this point in life to devote to much time to much else

So did you ever figure out a auto launch set-up? Still pondering it myself. I think a small box mounted on the front...holding a micro servo with a pin/hole type release would work great. Just flip the switch and the servo turns and the pin pulls out...what do you think of it?

For auto-launch you could use a small servo and a long wire up to the truck and then its all off one radio and you could use it like a whinch.

the biggest problem with auto launch would be reverse- unless your running electric- it'd be difficult to get out of there only on foward. Reverse on the boat that is- not the car.

yes, but with enough momentum to actually get far enough away to turn the boat without hitting land?, not to mention a clutch is a must. im not saying it cant be done, it just doesnt seem possible to me without reverse.
