I bought a clutch. Its the cheap $60 one. The thing is huge. I dont think I can mount it. I searched for shockwave clutch and only found one thread saying to use the marine spec. clutch. Can somebody give me a link or part # for the clutch I'm going to need? How much in boat modifications am I going to have to do? What about the flex cable? How do I shorten it?

Flex cable and how to shorten it ? Pends on if you have a square drive with a welded prop shaft , or a round end that goes into a ferrule or ?

TO shorten , use the side that has the rounded end of the flex , cut , and re-solder to ferrule ( if using a ferrule end ). If using a collet , simply cut it at the that end and I always add a bit of regular solder ( not silver solder ) for the collet to grip to the flex better without chewing up the flex .

This ain't that "cheap" clutch you were talking about , is it ?

Yep, thats the one. The thing is huge. Bolting the motor were it has to go the cluch is sticking out past the cable tube.
