Hey guys put my windshield on today it came out as expected and should do well i used fiberglass to reinforce it at the base its not pretty right now but i can fix that no problems. It took a while to get a bend in it and get it setup by the measurements but it worked out. I had to angle all of the joints where the wood met the hull and well tape the HE doublehockey sticks out of it to get it to stay. I just hope the first time it hits something it doesn't come apart. let me know what you guys think! here are some pics

Looking good joe, seems like you got enough fiber glass on there to hold it. How much did you offset your drive? try to get that epoxy on tomorrow, prep/sand/primer it thursday, paint it friday, hook everything up saturday....then maybe we can get them ot sat PM, or sunday!!!!! wishfull thinking is all, but that would be cool man. -Ed

your wood mono looks good joe, I can tell you were off set the strut to the right side by about 1/8", that way would reduce the prop walk, the best solution is use a tapered blade, it will make your boat run dead straight. BTW, will you use the marine epoxy to seal over her?

Yo Ed shes going man almost there ahead of schedule even! Eric thanks for all of the goodies! The Mono project is really turning out how i want it now i got some good molding of the windshield in tonight took about 2 hours total to do but it is to my liking. I worked on the engine too getting its NEW rubber mounts and throttle cable all setup to get slapped in asap they look sexy but forgot to take a picture of it and well im tired [X(] Next step is epoxy Not sure what type it is but its slow cure 12 hour stuff and wow does it hold everything you throw at it. I will be doing that in the morning so i can come home and well not work on it cause my cousin is coming in for the night, but at least it will be dry!

Mart I think he was referring to Eric's post that's all. Eric i measured the hole to be drilled 1/4 right and 1/4 up on the transom it should be right it may be off a little but its def. not 1/8 so i should be good but we shall see when the time comes. Put a coat of epoxy on it this morning and it should be try within the next few hours with the heat we have here i think ill put it on the back porch to make it go a bit faster. she should be ready for primer tonight!

Well everyone it has been a long but great day! i took my boat out for the very first time and it did we although i have to work on the rudder a bit and maybe redo my struts distance in back of the rudder. I made the mistake of hurrying up today and just wanting to get out on the water and went with a straight rod for my rudder setup and it just didn't work it was binding a lot made 1 bend and put in a socket setup instead of having what i think is called a colet holding it on and whala works great now with no servo struggle! Now my rudder is in front of my prop i think that this is wrong because i can turn right well and left almost not at all... Im hopefully going to get some info from people on this tonight and look at different setups. You can see in the video how well... not sharp it turns i really need to get this done by the next time i go out. Yes my radio box is clamped on and no no water got in i didnt really have a great idea for the lid but ill work on it.... Camera Lady was holding out daughter Lilly so videos are not all that steady but you get the gist. here are some pics and videos from my outing today!

Ol Blacky doesnt wanna turn http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7I4mAB8me4

This is her running sure revs out to get going but a 2716 prop will do that i guess huh! http://s237.photobucket.com/albums/f...touting002.flv

Yep joe, both of our boats floated and went forward!! It was a good day. Joe's boat performed really good, good job man All we need to do now is tune them up. Question for anyone that knows cuz i'm stumped...what does it usaully mean when you got your boat at a little higher than idle, then you hammer the gas and it bogs down then steadly takes off?? Thats what mine was doing today. I don't know if its too lean or rich. Any ideas?? Here are some pics of joe and I's boat, and a nice little video. Hope you all like -Ed

Looks like yous are having fun well done, about the not turning left welcome to monos. How to fix it sharpen the prop!! and offset the drive to the right 1/4" or you can shim the strut over a tad using a cpl of washers.Having the rudder slightly in front of the prop wont hurt turning i had mine set slightly in front on a cpl of mine and it didnt hurt at all. That said you dont want it like 1" in front of the prop but a touch or level is fine. How long is the rudder? if its too short then left turns will be even harder as the rudder will not be deep enough in a left turn.Make sure the props sharp and balanced that will reduce prop walk and improve the poor left turns .

are you running 167? if so, the needles setting would be 1 on H and 1-1/4 on L, check your plug, it should be light brown.

only thing i see is to get your servos in a radio box. getting them wet will get expansive over time.
