Don't forget that a lot of the RTR boats are now coming in from overseas. These are being sold in the RCU Marketplace along with eBay. If you want ot deal with somebody more local, www.gaspartsplus.com now has them on their site.
Yes, the search function is a nice thing to check.

RE: 41 falcon???????
thanks guys but i still need to find out from someone that has actually done this boat with stock motors and the results of doing that.
the mercury with a full mod is not in my budget. i have a pro-boat and aqua-craft and there from overseas the quality for the price is ok
my [aero]Apache and major smackdown are of much better quality hulls and tony's enforcers are excellent quality. back to the original question has anyone built this boat with stock motor and what were your results. someone has done this and i and a lot of other people would like to know how it performs. search is not getting the info that i want no details

RE: 41 falcon???????
That mercury might have a full mod but put it this way its a light boat ive seen it in person so it would go well with a stock motor,it will go well over 60mph with the zen 7 .According to Dave Marles site the prototype did over 69mp so maybe it could hit 70+ if set up correctly. So its obviously a good hull what more do you need to know?.Its quite a newish hull so maybe not many people on the site have built them yet im not sure.I might even get one myself for a stock zen it should go pretty well. The hulls pretty light but it seems strong and not what id call thin,i know the mercury is made from a new resin called vinylester similar to epoxy ,as for the falcon im not sure but its probably the same .For the price they go for over there its not that expensive either when compaired to others so id say its well worth a look.

RE: 41 falcon???????
thanks martin but i would really like to hear what some one who has bought this hull and used a stock motor in it and find out what it did for them. my major smackdown is a copy of the super-g and the quality is ALMOST as good but----. i just want to know what this boat can or cant do with a stock motor/what setup/hardware. there's a big difference between a 3hp and a 7hp motor. and i don't know if Dave's mercury is the same boat or is this boat a copy of it.

RE: 41 falcon???????
All i can say is Dave doesnt make this hull (mercury)as far as i know? where he gets them or who makes them for him i dont know, but he doesnt sell rubbish thats for sure .Are they the same as the falcon i cant say mate. They look the same design but thats all i know,i can say the mercury is a nice hull its well made the finnish is good and its light. That to me would make for a good hull for a stock motor ?.If it was a heavy layup then id say no it needs more power but its lighter than my stepped mono and i run a stock zen in that so id say it would go ok with a stock motor. As for hardware and setup ask ten guys and you will probably get ten diff answers lol.Me i like a bargain lol

RE: 41 falcon???????
I have no experience with the Falcon, but I do with a SIKK. It is your best bang for the buck as far as out of the box stock power goes.
My neighbor has an Arrowshark (V-hull) which I have heard is comparable in construction to the Falcon. The gel coat is very nice looking. The layup is a little thin. But you have to consider what your paying.
You can't beat the price of the Falcon. I mean how much of a let down could it be for a 180 bucks If I was in the market, I'd buy one and put a sikk in it in a heartbeat.

RE: 41 falcon???????
Like was said above, it's relatively new. Myself and a few other besides you are waitng with batedcxbreath to see what is the hot setup in hardware and engines. One person that I'm watching and is also ther owner of the yellow Falcon in the pix has his Sikk powered but I don't see why a stock Zen or Sikk wouldn't make it scoot.
Bob Finn is the owner of the boat in the shots and I own one of his modded Sikk's that very well may go in one of these puppies.
Ken the guy that took the other shots in working on his site now so I can't get any more shots of it for you at this time, sorry.

thanks guys photos would be great i don't have a sikk but i hear good things about them. the zen's are a proven winner in my book.
i just want to know what to expect from this hull and what the limits are.

RE: 41 falcon???????
they are a very light layup boat.... Bob Finn told me it was just over 4lbs bare, and right at 5lbs after he added some braces and stiffiners. 12lbs RTR.
Id like to see one get stuffed at 70+ and see how well it holds up.

RE: 41 falcon???????
hi i have run one off these hull with a mild motor in it , it ran very well indeed handled the corners well and boy was it quick
this was streight out of the box with little set up just a change of prop
the build quality of this hull is good , but it is light but as a play / club racer its fine
i was so impressed with the over all performance that i order one myself and plan to stick a hell motor in it !!!!

RE: 41 falcon???????
I just copied a few pictures of this cat from another site and unloaded it here, as for the construction of this cat, it's well build just almost like other same size of cat, if it runs with the good set up, hardware, engine, pipe, prop and etc, it would hold up good in the high speed.
