I was thinking of these - believe they were made by Thorsten. Basically a copy of an S6 with no mechanicals. Little more scale than what Werner is offering at the moment though they are 100% custom.

just curious, whats the deal with the 5 blade props? i have always run 2 and 3's but lately ive been seeing alot of 4 and 5's. what gives?

5 blades look sexier

To generalize - they bite the water more (more blade in the water) though lose a little top end speed (more friction as more blades to go through the water).

A better choice for bigger boats with power to spare.

They are also considerably more expensive, lots more work to finish, and lots lots more work to balance.

But they look sexier

Those cleavers require a lot more torque and HP to make them push the boat, not necessarily high rpm so what kind of power plant(s) are we looking at Matt?

Very nice build indeed! He did an exceptional job. Would love to see it in person, even watch it run would be a treat.

I think you are refering to the other pics I sent you, I don't have a header for it , that is how I got it but you can buy the headers or the bends to make you own from MHZ. If you have a problem getting the parts from them then I can get them for you.
The pics above are a Kawasaski kx65 not a blata engine, this has at least 6 more horse power than a blata. Just waiting on Andy Brown to make me the stainless steel props that I have been promised and I will get it back on the water.

Are these drives steerable or do you still have to use a rudder?

apache 1 I actually traded the ballantine to nieto for a 57" apache I loved the hull but just dont have the funds to build such a big boat correctly. Nieto was able to help me out and get me alot of stuff so i could get the 57" on the water alot sooner than I would ever be able to get the ballantine. Should have some pics and maybe some video soon of it.

And Leo there might be another 57 apache over at amelia soon hope to see you there soon with it
