Check out this 56 apache, specially built to take an SG engine which is now doing 108 km/hr, Paul is having problems finding big enough props so I hear. It has radio controled trim tabs to help keep it on the water.

The SG engine in the Viper Apache puts out 11.2 horse power at 20 000 rpm and swings a 280 prather with ease, i'm not sure what prop Paul is running on it at the moment but it hauls ass.

Rod Smith from WRM (wolfe Racing Marine) made them and built the boat for himself then sold it to Paul in New Zealand. Where I come into it , I made the 56 Apache specially for that engine If you where to run a standard type hull it would not last as an Apache is not designed to do the speeds this particular boat is doing with the weight it is carrying. It is not hard to make the radio trim tabs but you must have a three channel radio or more, it is better to run a seven channel so that you can run mixing on the tabs so when it turns the tab automaticly come up so it will lift the nose or if it is to light on the water in turns get them to pull down pushing the nose down.

Hey JT, you have inspired me to do a bit more to my boat, I have added two drivers and differant engine pods and maybe latter the instruments on the dash. This particular 56 apache has a 25quickdraw in it with a wraped to centre quickdraw pipe, I haven't run it yet so I can't tell you what speed it does. I'll let you know after next weekend. My dog in the pic likes to try and pull off the drivers thinking it is one of her toys.

Viper, thats a sweet rig! Glad i inspired your build! Eventually i will add two more of the Whobbies drivers and maybe an MHZ bow rail. I will shoot some video of the Warpath Apache when our weather warms up and our lakes melt. Qd 25 should move your Apache pretty well, i would try some of these props, abc mw3, octura 1475, octura x472, 6518/3 6717/3 propshop's. Keep the pics comming guys!

Im not sure as i dont have one on the boat yet. MHZ products are built really well, if you instal the bow rail correctly i am sure it would hold up fine!
