that was me, this is the video of approx mid 50's with a stock not broken in sikk, and a 67x17 3 blade, uncut, unfinished, unbalanced, 1/4 inch shaft, and tuned pipe, I later put a 67x19x3, balanced and polished, and attained 63, but had nobody to film it, my boat is down for paint and body work, once it is done, I will post a video.

Nice video i reckon it would go even better with the smaller sik or a modded zenoah in there as they have higher rpm than the big sikk ,but she runs very well especially compaired to the ones ive seen with the stock motor..One thing though its very dangerous to run an un balanced prop [X(].

it was just for the first run, I did not have any high pitch props to run, otherwise I would have killed the motor, sikk's dont like rpm

The smaller sikks are suposed to rev pretty high but ive never run one,no doubt my mate Tony will chime in he loves his sikks lol.Did you change the paper gasket on youres to copper just to avoid the issues that have occured with running them with the paper one?.For a first run that was pretty impressive though i have to say so keep the vids coming. Those big sikks prefer a big prop by all accounts so you might want to try a big prop on it next.

the motor is out of the boat, and will be getting a copper gasket and a new pullstarter, maybe some head and port work done, will have more when it is done.

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Hey everyone,
Been a while since I've been on. Can anybody tell me where the idle screw is? Do you remove it? I am tired of relying on my catching skills to stop this boat. I have cut the plastic elbow on the throttle arm already. But this being my first gas boat, I have no clue what the idle looks like. Thanks for all your help guys.

On the carb where the needles are if you look just below it there is a part that moves when you open the throttle and the linkage is connected to it. That part has a stop screw and thats what your looking for. If you back it out or remove it you can set your radio to do the rest and shut off your engine. We have instructions for this included in the boats.

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Hello everybody.
I am pleased to inform that I am most certainly the first Portuguese guy to have the pleasure of having a Venom KOS. I waited for it for at least for 7 months and it as finally arrived. Congratulations Venom for this Replica boat!
The KOS looks better at live than it does at photography and I have placed it in my living-room, just waiting for an opportunity to run it in a local river. I will try it ASAP.
This goes, happily to me, as what I previously said on this forum on the 6/08/2008
“ It’s my believe, that those that are here at this forum, taking the site’s professionals out, are “mainly†three kinds of people:
First - those like me, that are trying to find a new boat to buy, one boat that looks nice and is money worth it (this KOS looks Super)
Second - those who want to improve what they already have.
Third – and unfortunately, those who have had problems with their recently acquired boats and want to know how to repair, solve their problemsâ€.
Excuse my English. RC Boat modelers Best Regards

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Venomous. Thanks for asking.
For the moment being, I have sadly had no opportunity to put the KOS to work. Not because of the weather conditions, here in Portugal (Europe’s West coast) we have mostly a nice weather condition all year long, but because of my very busy personal live.
As soon as I possible can, I will take the KOS along a river drive with my 1/1 scale boat and than I will hope to take some nice pictures and make a nice home video about it.
Let us see if my 1/1 scale boat, that reaches 36 miles/h can keep up with the KOS or vice versa.
In fact, if I wanted to run the boat this weekend I could, because I have got the Atlantic Ocean just 4 miles away, but I don’t think the salty water would be a good idea for the KOS. I know I could run it on “drinkable†water after a salty water run, but I am not sure what would be the real consequences to the Boat. Having no better information on the subject I prefer waiting and having time to drive to my nearest "pond" and than run the KOS in proper conditions.

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
I'm looking to add a clutch to my KOS for the wife. I have 2 of these boats. I would like to add a clutch to one them. Does anyone have any idea where I could purchase a clutch system that would fit these boats? Thanks, and any info will be greatly appreciated.

The hulls are now available and come painted for about $600, I'll post the exact price once I get it.
A clutch can be installed but the motor needs to be moved forward to make room for it. You can use any basic clutch that will fit a Zenoha case but you will need to use a different rear engine mount. Look into a Bonzi complete compact clutch kit possibly.
