On the VooDoo prop 67X17-3, whats the main difference between the "Silicon Bronze" and the "17-4 Stainless"? Which prop is more desired?
Thanks,
Steve

the stainless looks prettier, and is stronger, the bronze one is cheaper obviously. The stainless one will last longer and not get pitted.

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Hi there,
This is my first post on this forum so please go easy on me and I hope I've posted this in the right place.
I have got a Venom King of Shaves but unfortunately I've got a crack down the side of it as can be seen in the photo.
My question is, what is going to be the best way to repair this? Is it a gelcoat finish or painted?
I was thinking of using an epoxy filler with some strips of fibreglass behind and then spraying the area, would this work ok?
Thank you very much in advance.

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Hey, guys, based on a recommendation on this forum, I ordered the Voodoo props 67x17x3 bronze sharpened/balanced prop. It was about $70. I can't seem to get a response from email or calling them atVoodoo props at the number on their website. Does anyone know how to get in touch with them. I orderd the prop on June 26 but haven't gotten any info that the prop is being made or otherwise. It's kind of frustrating given the cost and the fact that the summer is moving along quickly for my KOS use and I haven't gotten the prop.
Thanks.

if you ordered a custom prop, it might be awhile, he is really meticulous with making those balanced and sharpened props, I've waited upwards of 3 weeks to get stuff from him, but its well worth the wait, he knows what he's doin.

Tape the outside and use polyester resin and fiberglass mat on the inside after a good scuffing with 80 grit sandpaper and cleaning with acetone or laquer thinner. Remove the tape and maybe a little wet sanding with 600 and paint if even necassary. If you taped it tight before it should be hardly noticable.

Luckily the crack is in a place you can fix it easily. You want to get some fiberglass cloth, some resin, hardener, sandpaper, and some gelcoat(boat has a gelcoat finish). Make sure the cracked area is dry, sand down the inside and outside with 600 grit, working down to about 1000 so it is a smooth finish. Then you will want to put some tape over the cracked area on the outside of the hull, make sure there are no openings from the crack, mix up some resin, and lay it in the crack with the boat on its side, cracked side down, then put some fiberglass cloth over the cracked part, working it in with a paintbrush dipped in resin. While you're in there, it wouldnt be a bad idea to sand up the other side, and strengthen it as well from the inside, so it doesnt happen on the other side, run the cloth as far down the inside of the boat as you can, The first run of the boats was notorious of this. You can find plenty of articles online, on a more detailed way to do this if you like as well!

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
Iwanted to know if you can suggest a prop for my KOS with a KWAmotor. Ihave them both on order and should arrive next week. I don't mind spending some money for a prop that will give me performance and last awhile.
Thanks,
Steve

RE: New GAS Boats from Venom!!
the 67x17x3 that I think everyone has order is a great prop for just a motor upgrade, if you do motor/pipe/carb/everything else I've done , the 67x19x3 is the one I run on my boat, I have also tried the 65x18x3, it gives the boat better low speed steering and it is quicker out of the hole, but not as fast as the 67x19
