Looking at the pics you should eb able to shorten the length by just cutting some off the header and shortening the flexjoiner?,it might not remove 10 cm but should get you close .You say you can alter prop depth, how because looking at your tube its a tight fit in the hole you drilled you need to open it up so its a slot for up and down adjustment

Sorry,...i meant the prop angle. It can be changed slightly.

I still want to try it out as it is. It takes over a week to get stuff here......nothing can b bought localy
Much eaiser, and better to change the complete header to a L shaped one to get rid of the bend, and get the correct lenght.

if you say so but you might find it makes the pipe hang out too far not a good look [X(],by the way to alter prop angle the tube will need to move? so you need a slot just use silicone sealer to seal up the slot it will then allow movement and stop water getting in too.

Thanks Mart

I messured again....thouroghly, and it is only 7cm too long

I think I can change the length enough to make it work out.
But the pipe will have to be moved forward, like in your boat.
So I will have to lengthen the exhaust stinger to get out of the hull.
Does the diameter have to be larger, or the same as the original exhaust ?
The hole is only 100mm, and the outer diamter is 11mm

THe extension will have to be 7-10cm long. Wont that create too much back pressure, if I use a 10-11mm pipe ?

Here is where it needs to be to obtain the 35cm from spark plug to fatest part on the pipe

I used some ali pipe it was same diam as the header pipe so is bigger than the stinger, you can go a tad smaller but you need the extension to be bigger than the end of your pipe or yes it can affect your pipe pressure..Maybe try 2 sizes up from your stinger diam and use a silicone exhaust coupler to join the two as i did it will last a while because it doesnt get as hot that end especially if your running water through the pipe as you say.

That looks doable how short does that leave your pipe from the transom?.

It wil be 7cm away from the Transom.

But I have made a descicion
Ill chuck out the parts I have, and order a L shaped pipe, and a flange the goes straight out of the cylinder.
THen the pipoe can sit in its original position.
Have to order them next month.

Thanks for your help so far.
I have messed with tuned pipes on rc planes before, and I know that they suck when not "on the pipe"

argh!!!! [:@]

I just messured again.
There is not enough room to use a L shape pipe. Then it will be 2cm too short. []

So it will have to be the solution that you have.....moving the pipe forward, and making the exhaust stinger longer

You can get 3 diff size 90% headers the narrow 1" bend one is the one you want if it will fit between motor and side of hull?.The one in that pic is too wide and too short.heres a link its number 1 in the pics. There might even be another alternative if you have a look through them.

Yea...but the thing i like about the flange I have, and the one in the picture above is that they dont use any o-rings.
You solder on the ring to the pipe, then it clamps perfectly onto the flange. No problems with burnt or worn o-rings

On wednesday, ill talk to the guy who is going to solder it all togther for me.
He might have some hardware lying around that I can use

your mono looks fine for a fun boat, no need to change the header pipe, for the prop, you might try a X470, it's a well known prop for your boat.

Hi guys.

I got my boat radar gunned today at 67 km/h or 41.6 mph. with a plastic/carbon graupner 70mm prop.

Does this sound aceptable for a stock zenoah 26 ?
Will getting a metal prop such as the X470 make it faster ?

Graupner K Series 70mm
Diameter 70mm(2.76"), Pitch 1.4x70=98mm or 3.86"
