SCARED my boat drivers to death... plenty of pictures
Mart, I'm going to dedicate this thread to you brother. Thanks for all the behind the door chats and encouragement. Got to run for the first time in almost six months & man what a blast~!. Guys, its been hard to walk away from a hobby that means so much but there has been no time. A few of you encouraged me to keep one and boy am I glad. After the many changes with the new job, moving, etc. it turned out that the new area is not in the most welcome part of Germany to be running boats. Pretty much have to drive about two hours so I decided to get rid of most of the stuff and move on to planes since its more accepted nearby.
My long time buddy told me about a place three hours away and it being the long weekend, my wife more or less persisted. She knew I needed a fix & again, & made it easy. Long story a tad shorter, got me driving to work with all the boating goodies Friday, stay the night at my bud's place & hit the water at 9am Saturday. Perfect venue for a small group of guys, retreival boat on standby with outboard, easy launching and just a wonderful site.
Only had the TeamPro with a few solid runs on it over six months ago so its still more or less new to me. Through all this, its been kept in RTR state just needing the batteries charged and gas. With no adjustments, it was running high 40's the one time it got GPS'd. Its a play boat & nothing more. Play it did. No real changes other than changing a few props. For the most part, the way I've always liked to run is 'looser is better', ie... more fun.
I'll start off with these two for now............
SEE THE FEAR in their eyes?
A very good link with pictures from myself and my buddy Marcello (his website).

RE: SCARED my boat drivers to death... plenty of pictures
Hi Matt & WaveWaker....
Thanks for the comp's. I'll show some pictures towards the end of the area. VERY nice and done up well for a small group of guys. Not much more than 10 or so with all the support equipment required.
Problem with this boat is is only a fun runner. Wish it was close to an offshore hull. Its my fourth SuperG'/SuperSport/TeamPro hull. As a lot of you know, they all have the same running surface and don't like speed much more than mid 40's. This one isn't set up for rough water and very loose to keep it entertaining as you can see. Probably should've added some weight in the nose to help it on the hops or trim the tabs down, but I didn't care... First time out in over six months had me fffffiiiidgity and hyped Only a few prop changes to mess around, but other than that, it was run, run, and run some more. Burnt just over a gallon in it. Do you think the engine is broke in now? LOL.
More pic's to follow.

Last ones.... Tomorrow will be a few random shots of other hulls. Might even edit them down to show some prop work.

i think i had almost as much fun looking at the pics as you did running her. kudos defiantly need the info on camera settings. give the camera operator a pat on the back for those shots. i may have to steal a few for my desktop if ya don't mind.

MANY, Many thanks for the words. Its great to be back in a constructive & entertaining way. Have always been lurking in the shadows and tossing an idea or opinion here & there. Its hard to stay away and I'm thankful to the heavens above that I'm able to hang on to something as expensive and only play once in the blue moon. Does it justify the cost of sitting idle for so long? Oh yes. The pictures are proof.
I like to talk so bear with me alright....
Camera credits....
Pictures of my boat are by my long time friend Marcello Guillerno.... http://www.rcpowerboat.de/PBTHN2008.html
He used his Canon Rebel XT. Not sure of the lens, but it was a tad faster than mine.
The picture of his flying Rockett hydro is by me with my weapon of choice: Nikon D50 w/cheap Nikkor 300mm zoom lens. Its a good entry level DSLR but the lens is what kills the quality. At one time, I was sitting on the fence of buying a new one, but at a grand $, the cost wasn't justified. The standard 18 - 55mm is great for the average Joe. Its a wonderful extension that lets you take advantage of situations that a pocket camera can't touch.
Attached are pictures of my weapon. More to follow. Most will be with me behind the shutter using the D50 and we can compare a few notes.

Running site....
Very nice setup. Its part of a fullscale boat club. One of the members had a concrete truck come in and he worked the joint over just for his hobby.
It was right on the river, but on the point where a finger goes back. To the left you can see the finger. Back in there was the fullsale boat club. It runs about 700m back and very calm. To the right of the point is the main river. We could launch on the left, run a few feet back to the right and keep out in the main river body. EXCELLENT place. We were able to pull the cars within just a few steps and unload. Keep in mind, this is Germany. Most every site I've been to, you have to hump your gear a good distance. If you're like me, you bring the whole shop and making it a real challenge. This was wonderful.
As you can see it got a little tight when the kids came down. Got a little worried about them tripping over the gear, but for a few minutes of show & tell, it makes lasting impressions to carry on the hobby.
