smallest gasser?
not sure if this is gonna be the smallest gasser or not but its gotta be close, its a 27 inch sk-daddle too hull. I have had the hull built for a year and was gonna use a four stroke glow, for a reliable sport boat...but then I upgraded to a larger engine on my gasser airboat so I have this small agway trimmer engine, I'd guess its 25-20cc, its the smallesr trimmer engine I have ever seen, so for a laugh I put it in the boat and put it in the tub, and low and behold it float great, sits just like a real v-drive boat does, so as long as I can put together some hardware for it I'm gonna give it a go, gonna need to find a center skeg, a dual rudder setup, and a strut, and a collet for the motor(hoping its the same taper as a zenoah collet. but it should if nothing else be interesting, I dunno if I wanna go for submerged or surface drive. everyone says these hulls will run better with the submerged drive like on the real life v-drive boats...it a very reliable engine though and should have plenty of power in a hull this small...let me know what you think, also gotta weight the engine then put that much weight in there and sink it to make sure the foam in the nose is enough to float it if it flips...

RE: smallest gasser?
nice, It may be a while till I build this thing now, I priced hardware and its gonna cost a lot to set it up, I also forgot this engine rotates reverse of normal so I need to get a RH prop and a flexshaft made for that rotation, itd be alot of money for it to not work...mine is the smaller skdaddle too, I believe its something like 10 inches shorter then yours...

I have a 17" Vee that I was aiming to wedge a zenoah into. No idea where the radio box will end up. It has been kicking around my bench for some time but has not seen any attention as yet. Motor will fit and I have test floated it. But not sure how it will handle turns - can see a hydraulicd motor in her future.
I can see room for a shorter boat still but it would want to be pretty wide to have room to work.

a 17?wow,i would love to see how that would look.i didn't think the echo would work in the sk.daddle, but it does.hops around a lot in the turns, fast down the straits.mine needs more weight in the bow.

RE: smallest gasser?
lol...I think you'd need some outriggers to keep it upright...or a sailboat weighted keel...If it was a 26 inch vee hull I wouldnt try it, I'd think it'd roll over in the corners, but the flat bottom will corner with very little roll into the turn...but since they put blown big blocks in 16 foot flat bottoms it cant be any worse than that...those things are awesome, if I ever have the cash to buy a real v-drive flat bottom I will, its not practical, its not cost effective to run, and it's not really all that safe, but that must be one hell of a ride...

That motor looks like a Robin engineI have. It is a model 16b?? I have yet to find out how many cc it is. I had planned to one day build a small crackerbox for it. Be sure to let us know how she runs.

RE: smallest gasser?
lol jake, i never noticed my backyard was so messy
soundguykaraoke50 that manifold i made myself
the main plate is made from 10mm aluminum, but the hard part was doing the pulse pickup for the carb, you cant just do it in the inlet because there is only suction there not pulse, you could just drill and tap somewhere in the crankcase but you'll end up with bits of metal in the engine,
what i done was on the bottom of the reed block about 7mm from the bottom i drilled a 3mm hole that goes through to inside the crankcase, theres only a few mm between the reed and the crankcase so you have drill the right spot, then put a hole/notch in the inner gasket and you will have to make up a new outer gasket so that hole is sealed off from the inlet and then drill and tap the main aluminum plate to line up with the 3mm hole and put a 5mm fitting in and connect pulse line to carb
then for the iso block/spacer part i just used some plastic/nylon like stuff from the local plastics shop for a temporary one but it seems to be ok
im guessing your sitting there scratching your head now trying to understand what i said (me to lol im tired) so i can get some pics for you tomorrow, i actually wasn't very hard to make but if you just want to buy one i think this one may work http://www.pocketbikesunlimited.com/...CARB-KITS.html
