torn between insane mono 2 or ac laser 45 going to race and play also thanks for any info

Out of those two hulls I have only seen the laser 45 in action, & it impressed me. I wouldn't be dissapointed with one of them. I've seen it jump the start & climb it's way back to 2nd position. That's 6 laps to everyone elses 5 laps in 1 minute 20 secs. That was one of the best races I've ever seen.

I am not sure about the Gen 2 but the Ac lazer is made for rough water isnt it?Just saying the AC Razor would probely be a faster play boat looks better allso.As well as the Gen1 insane just better lookers.But like you said you are gona race and play.

Insane makes good monos, they are good around for race and play, I'm going to re build a used Insane Gen2 mono about at the end of this month, the engine and pipe would be a NFS mod 260 and NFS 100 degree 2 stage steel pipe, here's a whole article of how to build a Insane mono from other site.

The Insane Gen II monos did pretty well at the Vegas race which had some of the worst race water anybody could recall having ever raced in.
