RE: 1/4 Scale Jet Sprint
Hello there Scott.
I got your name from Craig @ Swashdrive. Just curious to know how your driveshaft assembly work with the cable drive. We are setting up a few of the jetboats, but dont have the drive shafts for all and Craig is currently out of stock as he is a busy dude. So thats cool there has to be another way. He gave me your link.
Hope your still around.
Thanks
Sean from Out of Control in Fort McMurray Alberta, Canada.

RE: 1/4 Scale Jet Sprint
Hi Sean
I'm not Scott, Nor am I an expert. But What you will need is a flexi-cable that is wound the right way. It will either need to be square on one end or have a slide adaptor to compensate for torque shrinkage. for the other end you just need a collet to attach to the jet drive. Depending on the length you may also need a stuffing tube to stop it getting the wobbles caused by misalignment and imbalances in the cable.
I don't know if that is helpful or if I am just repeating stuff that you already know.
Good luck with it.
Max
BTW what are the boats you are putting together?

RE: 1/4 Scale Jet Sprint
hi there
I am using a flex cable on mine. i have the swashdrive jet in my boat also. I used an octura flex coupler with an 8mm thread in it on the jet unit side and on the motor i used a regular flex coupler with a square end insert in it. it works great with the standard zenoah but a mate has a quick draw in my boat at the moment and i dont think it likes it too much. i am about to try solder a solid tube over the flex.
cheers
steve
