Ok it's official I am saving my pennies and change to get one of these it will definatley be the next hull I buy.. thanks for all the pics and info I may not be building my nemesis but I am building an ac cat and the info is helpfull....Thanks again for the beautifull boat and all the info...and are you going to paint it???
Lol.....whenever your ready

This info should assist with any gas build. Same techniques apply. Most hardware out there is practically the same, just a different tweak and price. Aeromarine is close by so naturally had to go there. Remy gives a hefty discount also NOSHIPPING!

edit....oh and I will not be painting this one. Now my NEMESIS will be painted, no hurry on that one yet.

Dreamin,

I noticed your breather line for the tank went straight out the hull.  Do you plan on putting a water trap on that line?  I can see a lot of water getting in the fuel tank in a flip or stuffing with it set up like that.

Just a suggestion.

Cheers
Dicko.

Have a bottle I want to use, just almost empty.....pregnant wife, lots of vitamin bottles. Will add it in the next day or so.

Looks good Scott, for a water trap you can also use small film cannisters or just coil up the tubing a few times before you exit the hull.

Even easier chuck the ridged tank and put in a IV bag. Makes life so much easier.

Thought a film cannaster would be perfect, however haven't had one of thoes around in at least 8 years whenI bought my first digital camera! I've seen some people coil up a vent line before.....may just do that as Ihave pleanty of fuel line.

Perhaps the next build will use an IV bag. This tank was basically a freebe from AM.

Those little containers your dremel cutoff wheels come in would work also .Another good way to keep water out is not to flip em in the first place ,good luck lol .

That's the exact one I was going to mention. Very popular and won't break the bank. Never had one fail yet in any of my heli's or monster trucks either....and they get LOTS of abuse!

133oz.in at 6v.....perfect for your single rudder.

This is the servo I use on my avenger cat and can snap turn her at nearly full tilt. Don't see it on Horizon's site but it is a JR

http://www.edge-1.com/Edge/Main.asp?D={EF219DF5-34B1-4D06-9BDE-155B1AE3C9B2}&PageType=Product&SKU=JRS0579&CategoryID=17

Have brought some of these in and although I know everyone's going to say just more chinese stuff, I must say that they turn a 47' v-hull with ease and no play after 2 hard race days. And we race a M shape course with 4 90 degree bends and one left turn.

And at the price it ain't bad.

http://www.rcworldwide.com/v5/index....ml&cPath=18_17

And yes that's $49 for 4

well guys, i got the servo ordered up. and i have finally got an exhaust picked out(i think), will be ordering it tomorrow. it's a bh hanson set up. their # 11 header and a 2'' band pipe with water cooling flange and pipe stopper. i will be giving them a call tomorrow. i wanted a cc powermaster set up, but they don't have a header i need. so bh hanson it is. what do you guys think? here's a link http://www.bhhanson.com/hbprod6.htm

Theres no reason you cant use the cc pipe with any header, just buy the header you need elsewhere and the cc pipe from gizmo, you can also use the no leak flange with any header as far as i know.Or you could ask gizmo if they can get the header you need theyre pretty helpfull.

I believe CC uses headers with 1 inch outside diameter versus the more common 7/8".

No worries, we decided to go for Hanson products. Not sure exactly what header is the best as far as fitting, so we are ordering 4 that are best suited from a viewing standpoint along with a 2" band pipe. Once I find the perfect size, the others will be returned back for refund already agreed by Hanson. Great guys to deal with, always willing to lend a hand. Have made many purchases from them in the past.

I'm considering splitting MY cost on the perfect header and offering that with each hull??? This is a tight fit so hopefully doing this will eliminate lots of guesswork and make the builds a little easier for the buyers.

Thought I'd show some pictures of what we have to work with here. Pictures speak for themselves. Once we clear the hatch opening flange, LOTS of open spaces to work with. After taking these measurements, I know there are at least two of the choices that will fit....now to find the perfect one.

Hi scott

looks like the Hanson #13 header (90% 3" offset, 1" drop) might do the trick. 3" off set should put the pipe in the middle of the sponson and the 1" drop should aloow it to clear the deck. thats the one i used in my thunderbolt till i added my custom muffler that all the club uses.

cheers
steve

I thought so also. The #13 was my first bet as far as perfect fit. Ordered a 1" and 2" off set as well. Dosen't hurt to try them all out!

There is only so much I can do without an exhaust system. Tony, hope you like this ....got a little bored today and had to do something to this. Bright silver basecoat with outlining black airbrushed on basecoat....finished with 2 coats clearcoat.

Was also able to open up the hatch intake with my Dremel.

Exhaust will be ordered tomorrow and arrive the next day.
